    Weighing foods

Is it really a big deal if you weigh food cooked or uncooked, as long as your consistent in what you do?

I personally weigh my meats cooked and weigh carbs raw.

Is that ok? Does it really matter?

    Thanks

You'll get the most accurate---and repeatable--- information from weighing all your food portions raw.

Weighing them Raw is great. However, have you thought about what that would cause you to do? Weigh your rice raw.. then cook it. For each and every meal. That is going to be extremely time consuming. Personally I only weight my carbs dry if they are instant or require a few minutes in the nuke machine for warming. Meats I measure cooked.

Alright I gotcha. The reason I am skeptical for weighing meat raw is because of the water weight. And like I weighed 3 Tyson chicken tenderloins and they weighed 250g. I feel like that's a lot for just 3 Chicken tenders. On the package it said 112g(4oz): .5fat 24 pro. So those 3 chicken tenders have 53g pro in them? That seems like a lot.

If you go online, you can pretty much figure out the macros/calories for any food raw or cooked.. I've done enough weighing before/after that at this point I weigh everything cooked.. except for oats, rice, pasta, etc.. I weigh that raw.
