i think when i first started posting i remember seeing some people complain that they raised the price or something and that it wasn't a great deal anymore

From what I recall it was, someone may know better than me though. I remember it being to go-to recommendation for around $1k, then when Sorinex left the garage gym market it's barely been mentioned.

went and picked it up. i don't know how but i was able to fit it in my wife's rav4...it was surprisingly easy to take apart and has a 300lb stack. The plates are greasy as all hell, anybody have any tips on cleaning them? I'm thinking simple green and then a little white lithium grease in the holes. Anything I should stay away from? I'm going to hold off on putting it back together until I know exactly where I want it, now my titan GHR definitely will not fit, oh well, we need to get rid of more stuff in the garage anyway.

I'm also thinking i can remake the cable so there is a connection at the top pulley, just disconnect the portion of cable that goes to the lower pulley and I can do some face pulls and stuff like that. Anybody see anything wrong with doing that?

The guy had originally posted it for free and just wanted to get rid of it, then texted me today and said his boss wouldn't let him get rid of it and wanted at least $50 for it, so I thought I would get some quick input. all in all I'm happy with it and will eventually end up flipping it for more.

how tall is that thing? i'm curious if it'd fit in my basement. i see some maxicam stuff around these parts, so i wonder if there's one of these near me too...i doubt it'd be there for $50, but it'd be nice to have the option at least...

roughly 83" if i remember correctly, either that or 86", but no more than that i think. this thing is great the more i think about it, the footprint is perfect for my tiny space.

Would be cool if you could somehow split the cable and add a connector between the upper and lower pulley.

Then you could use it for pressdown work as well!

yeah, the gym I used to train at had an older elitefts model like that. I'm sure they have the cable at home depot, i just need to make sure there is enough space between the lower pulley and the top connection to give me a full rom.

I see nothing wrong with it, but you might want to take the original cable off (rather than cut it) and save it, just in case you wanted to revert back to it at a later time.

I've owned both of those and the HS bench sucks actually, and that PB one is awesome. The HS was loose and wobbly, the seat is at a fixed incline angle, and the lumbar you might love it or hate it. Mine the pads were mush. The PB on the other hand is one of their first or second revisions, all welded, made in USA, tight and solid, adjustable seat, and firm pad.

Anybody know what this machine is, seller says it's a push-pull, I've never seen one but looks like you can do one-arm rows on it? Is it worth getting?? He's asking 275.
