Purchase that GREATLY did the opposite of improve my life was getting a dog.
Never... Get... A... Puppy
Love him to death and he;s an angel but 2 years later now if I could go back in time it never would have happened. Doesnt matter how cute they are or how ready you think you are to deal with it it is SUCH a pain in the ass.If you want to be a man at night, you gotta be a man in the morning.

I've actually gotten rid of and bought less things over the years as I found money is much better put into investments/savings and living truly within your means. The comfort of knowing you have financial security and able to survive job loss, etc. is satisfying in itself.
Long term "investment" purchases are always satisfying tho if you need something material, i.e. good suits, etc. that will last years. Quality > quantity. Fewer, but higher quality purchases win for me. I don't get people who drop $100+ on 20, 30 pairs of sneakers, such a waster in my eyes. Have only what you need and put the rest towards experiences i.e. traveling, nice restaurants, etc.

I am all for spending money on retarded sh*t and have more material possessions than anybody should ever have... But to hate on shoes then recommend spending your money at restaurants is crazy talk. I spend thousands eating out but honestly brb $100 bottle of wine you could buy elsewhere for $20 and food you'll eat and forget 2 days later anyways.

What's the point of having 30 pairs or Jordans? I don't mean frivolously going out five nights a week to 5 star restaurants but experiencing new places, restaurants, countries, cities, etc. when you're able to tend to bring me more long term happiness being able to reflect back on those memories and experiences.
