Temp was in the low 40's in the morning. Had to take off my hoodie to do slingshot BRRRRRRR!
Not feeling all that strong these days. Normally pausing 105 for three and slingshot at 130 would be no big deal but that wasn't really the case here.

About 15 degrees warmer than yesterday thankfully. Still cold but more tolerable.

Wade says it's from doing two meets very close together. It takes time to recover from that. I'm also not recovering well right now which affects how aggressive I am. Some of it may also be in my head. I don't feel so great so I'm less explosive and therefore reps are slower and more difficult.
Life is kicking me in the ass lately too and I'm feeling meh. My husband has worked almost every single everyday for the past month. I try to take over everything at home so he doesn't have to because he's gone from 4am to 6pm. From the minute my feet hit the floor at 330am until we go to bed at night I'm busting my ass. My own job has been very busy and stressful which takes a lot out of me. Not much down time these days but I hope to get a little this weekend. Supposedly my husbands schedule goes back to normal next week and he has a couple days off. That will be good for both of us.POWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL

Both decline sets 140x3 and 145x3 were not too terrible. This is the heaviest I've been lately on decline. I told myself it would feel heavy but that it didn't matter. It didn't and I managed.
Slingshot was pretty ugly though. My lower back has beenough bothering me this week and whatever I did at my physical therapy appointment last night made it worse. Benching is a biotch when it's aggravated.POWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL

My lower back is very aggravated. I was afraid to even deadlift. Trap at 290 should be no big deal. I've done 295 many times with no issues. It wasn't happening today and I wasn't going to push my luck. Oddly enough I had no issues during conventional and felt no pain. Maybe it's too much restrictive clothing. Perhaps try working out in shorts versus those long capri pants things you are wearing

Little to no leg drive on my first set of 110x6. My lower back is so messed up I can't put my feet down so I was benching on my toes or picking them up completely. I got my feet down a little on the second set but definitely not the leg drive I get on a good day.
Wade said I could increase the weight on Slingshot if 125 felt good but considering my back I knew it wasn't a good a idea.POWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL
