No idea why I failed the first 135 press. Maybe a lack of food combined with not really having my crap together form-wise. I was really busy at work today and missed my pre-training meal. I dont usually do well without food before lifting.POWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL

Way to kill that 135. Strong work is being done. Lunges suck. You off to paradise or something?
Edit: nevermind, saw Bahamas and negged you for not inviting meTeam Ogre

We rented a house so there is no resort gym available. Anyway I never go to the gym on vacation. I know some people think that is lazy or insane. I feel like I can go to the gym anytime but vacation does not come often enough. It will just be my husband and I and I feel that time will be better spent together than at the gym.

What can I say? I'm a southern gentleman.
I've had good intentions to lift on vacations, but I've been underwhelmed by the facility and just no time to get anything in...so I don't worry about it and enjoy the real reason I'm there. Have fun! I expect a complete photo diary upon return.Team Ogre

That's about how I feel about it. If there is a gym around, I might go a couple days while I am away but it is not on the list of things to do. Last time I went to a beach, for the 10 days I was there, I took 4 mornings where everyone was still asleep, did 2 rounds of total body stuff with exercise bands and did sprint intervals on the beach.
Hope you have fun!
so jealousI'm back.......kinda.....sort of....

I love that you all agree. I don't feel guilty about not going to the gym on vacation. I don't think that it means that I'm less dedicated than someone who does. My body could probably use the rest anyway. My muscles aren't going to fall of and Im not going to blow up because I miss two weeks. Chances are I will gain 5 lbs in water weight that I will drop when I return. No biggie.
B-I've said for the last couple of weeks that I dont plan on lifting more than a fork and a cocktailPOWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL

We're kinda nutz, so we often stop at a CF Gym on vacations when it's just Gen and I. Mostly to meet the people and get the locals ideas of what to do, etc
Thankfully we didn't on the Moab trip as we had plenty of exercise keeping up with the teenagers.
I have no guilt about not working out on vaca. If my stress levels are up and I feel like I need a workout, then I am not successfully vacationing and I need to adjust fire. Take that as you may.Journal- One of the Ogres
