Friday 11/17/17 - Front Squat & Deadlift
No training
No training today. I was standing at work talking to my coworker and as I was about to leave pain shot through my ankle. I was literally doing nothing but standing there. I barely made it to my car. I cannot walk on it so obviously training is not an option. I have physical therapy on Monday to hopefully shed some light. Always something

About to do some catch up in here. Life has been busy. I took some vacation over Christmas to visit my husband's family. No cell reception most of that time plus I wanted to spend time with family rather than posting. At work we've been balls to the wall. We are at 100% capacity which means every piece of equipment we have is running 24/7. This has not happened in a long time. For the foreseeable future my job will be nuts and I may be bad at posting. Still lifting though!
My ankle is mostly better. I'm able to squat and deadlift although the day after the area around my left heel is very sore and stiff. I had tendonitis in the same place many years ago so that seems to have returned. I've been icing it as much as I can. My middle back/t-spine area that feels as if I have a pulled muscle was getting better but it's back. I'm thinking about wearing some sort of compression thing while deadlifting to see if it'll heal. The pain is mostly when I'm putting the bar down. I think that covers all of my current injuries.Last edited by penny0527; 01-08-2018 at 12:22 PM.

Tuesday 11/28/17 - Back Squat

Easing back into squats and deadlifts after two weeks off. My ankle is better. Not 100% but good enough.
I started off wearing my Squat shoes but anything with a heel is a no-go. I switched to Converse which was better on the ankle. This is my first time squatting in Converse in a long time and it felt weird. Took some adjusting.
My first deadlift came up crooked as if I were compensating for my left ankle. It was not intentional but not surprising.Last edited by penny0527; 01-08-2018 at 03:35 PM.

It's weird front squatting in Converse but I still can't wear my squat shoes because of my ankle. I ate before this session which I never do and will never do again.
