    Count calories or macros?

    Hi,
New question, do you guys take total calories and make your macros fit within them when cutting or do you calculate macros first?

Every time I calculate my macros my total caloric intake is higher then it should be, not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Macros make up your calories. What are your macros?

As an example. I'm trying to hit calories /macros for a training day.

    Calories around 2700
    Protein 250 g
    Carbs 250 g
    Fat around 50 g

When I pick foods that give me these macros the calorie total is always higher then 2700.

That's because nutrition labels aren't always 100% accurate if you calculate the macros on a label more than often they're over on calories or under.

Given, calculated calories from macros should be higher than tracked calories for those reasons, not the other way around. Also, you should read the Sticky threads and readjust your macronutrient breakdown to a more appropriate one (since you're likely consuming way more protein than is necessary, or way less fat than what would be optimal)
