I'm interested to see how they use Cotchery. He was an excellent end zone target in Pittsburgh. I'd imagine Carolina will use him more often than pittsburgh did, given the lack of receivers that they have. Tiquan Underwood also showed some promise last year in a couple of games.
5 for 108 and 2 TD's vs. Detroit.
7 for 93 and a TD vs. New Orleans.
I really have no clue whatsoever who will be their number 1 guy. I'd imagine target wise, it should be something like Benjamin, Avant, Underwood, Cotchery They really don't have a guy that would be a number one on any other team.
Yep, also gives you an advantage in your regular fantasy leagues as well. If you get into it enough, you become a boxscore addict and you'll be picking up guys that no one else has even heard of.

He's ranked as the QB7 this season at o-rank 59
I'm not saying don't draft him at all I just prefer RG3 at 61 or Stafford at 54.
lil quip
If the fantasy community’s old nemesis, the injury imp, feasts again on Falcons flesh, Matty Ice will fall short of the 30 TD mark for the sixth time in seven seasons. He's also failed to rank inside the QB top-7 in two of his past three years.

I think there's basically the top 3 elite QB's, same as last year (Brees, Manning, Rodgers) and then there is a big gap, followed by a handful that have a lot of potential but could finish along with the next 8-10 that are all lumped into a huge pile of Tier 2 options.
Maybe you specifically like Stafford or Griffin or Luck or Romo but they are pretty similar and may not even differentiate from all the rest like Ryan, Newton, Foles, Kaep, Brady, Rivers...and then you still have potential in Dalton, Palmer, Cutler.
I wonder if QB will be matter of selecting between:
*Opt for an elite early
*Pick your favorite high upside Tier 2 guy and take him in the early-middle before somebody else does (rnd 3-5?)
*Wait and take your favorite run of the mill space filler in round 6-7
*Wait wait wait and use two picks to QBBC/hope one hits/whatever, and go like rounds 8-9 or 9-10
Or something like that. (12 team 1QB redraft)

This. V-Jax is very good but he's also older, injury prone, and streater really isn't proven. TB will definitely run but I don't have nearly as much faith in Doug Martin as I used to. In fact teams KNOW they're gonna run so that box will be full. I just don't have high hopes for Tampa Bay at all this season.
Seems like Peyton is the only QB worth really reaching for, and he's gonna go 1st round. You can stack your rb's, draft 2 solid wr's and with your 5th and sometimes 6th pick still get RGIII, Foles, Romo, or Rivers. With everything going for RGIII this season, he's the qb I'm targeting, and GLAD to swoop up round 5 or 6."Truth is treason in an empire of lies" - Ron Paul

You know..I never thought of that. With Tony G gone white and Jones will see more targets. Of the two...White is the one that really gets my attention, because Julio is going round 2 all day long but Roddy White is going far later, round 4-5 he's still there. And he's on a contract year too, we already know how talented he is. I'd key on White. Julio has played 2 years now...and gotten injured both years, for someone going in round 2 I'd rather have Dez Bryant or D. Thomas.
And the way Rivers played last year...yeah I'd rather have Rivers at the position.
I hear you on that. This year it's just a gamble I'm willing to take. I want top talent at my RB, WR, and TE positions. Peyton is the only QB that seriously outpaced everyone else. Do you remember the numbers RGIII was putting up his rookie year? His fantasy points were insane, now he's healed, in a better coaching situation, and has 3 extremely talented people to throw to....which will give him room to RUN.
I know it's still gamble, but I'll take it. Kaepernic is in the same situation now too. I was pissed I drafted him last year, but this year his situation looks SO much better. Crabtree, Boldin, Stevie Johnson, AND Vernon Davis to throw to?!?! And you know he's gonna run if they spread out that receiver coverage. Kap might be the steal of the draft.Last edited by Sandman33; 06-08-2014 at 11:35 AM.

I don't want Murray personally. He gets hurt and they just don't use him enough. I'd rather have Tate a few rounds later. Tate will see PLENTY of work and we already know he can run the ball.
Foster in the 2nd round is cool if he lasts that long. Most mocks I'm seeing he leaves late round 1 or early 2. 12 teamers that is."Truth is treason in an empire of lies" - Ron Paul

Yeah but neither one of them were fantastic fantasy wise were they? Mathews ended up being #12 I think.
Yeah people are just going by the fact that Peyton Manning stretches that field out so his running backs don't face a stacked box. They think Ball will do better this year than Moreno did last year.
Thoughts on MJD? I think he hated Jax, and Run DMC is a turd..so he might do very well this year in OAK. He's going real real late too, like round 8-9"Truth is treason in an empire of lies" - Ron Paul

What, you have a problem drafting the #12 RB in the 5th round (or later)? FFC has his 2013 ADP as 5.01 in a 12 man league, pick 49.
I thought that was a pretty good deal.
I had some people, one guy especially, go absolutely ape **** on me for pushing Ryan Mathews.
Guess I got the last laugh on that one eh?
