With the addition of sure hands Golden Tate, don't you think Calvin Johnson's stock would be even better?

To be clear, my list was referring to things from last year. And I was joking, my opinions were the opposite of what I posted above.
Last year I argued that Calvin Johnson was worthy of an early first round pick (I took him 6th in one league and considered him for 2nd, but people said that was stupid ), I regularly pointed out that Doug Martin was a top ~9 RB even if you arbitrarily removed every RBs two best games, I said that Ryan Mathews had value and was actually talented and pointed out that the whole 'Sproles will steal his 3rd downs' thing was stupid because Mathews hardly ever got 3rd down situations to begin with, and I was very skeptical of Trent Richardson/CJ Spiller
And I also made it a point to argue against the stupid statement that two WR's from the same team is bad, because there's no reason to avoid two WR's from the same team, provided that you don't mind them sharing a bye week. I drafted Demaryius Thomas and Wes Welker for my main league to put my money where my mouth was, and it went great until Welker got injured and missed the fantasy playoffs

I'm surprised there has been no mention of Gio Bernard. He had a stellar rookie year and I think he would only continue to improve.

I like Donald Brown as a handcuff for Ryan Matthews...because you know he's going down at some point
Let's talk some defense - I really like Tampa this year - especially how they came on strong late last year and Lovie is running the show
LDE Da'Quan Bowers
LDT Gerald McCoy
RDT Akeem Spence
RDE Michael Johnson
WLB Lavonte David
MLB Mason Foster
SLB Danny Lansanah
CB Alterraun Verner
SS Mark Barron
FS Dashon Goldson
CB Johnthan Banks

Players I'm going to be targeting this year. RGIII, their defense is going to suck and he has pierre garcon and desean jackson to pass it too so a bunch of shoot outs. Darren Sproles, lesean mccoy, and jeremy maclin, I'm going to try and come out with two of the three players from this group because I have faith in chip kelly and his ability to put up points. Also I think you should be able get Maclin a little later this year too. Hakeem Nicks, he has a one year contract and more times than not a player will play better during a contract year. My concerns with him though is can he stay healthy, if he can I'm thinking 1100 yards and 8 touchdowns this year. Also, I'm going to take a flyer on Travis Kelcee TE kansas city chiefs. He is going to be a second year player who was hurt last, but KC will be having a lot of two TE sets this year and he has the tools to be a decent TE starter this year.
Will attempt to do the 52 books in 52 weeks crew

I'm hoping to get Markus Wheaton pretty late. Looking to be the #2 for Pittsburgh this year. A lot of teams will be targeting brown after his huge year, so Wheaton could be in for some nice numbers.

Some first round thoughts:
Who goes #1 overall? Could Jamaal possibly replicate last season? Or is it safer to stick with AP? I think McCoy will suffer a little now that defenses don't need to worry about Desean.
Where is an acceptable place to draft Calvin? Last year I had the #5 pick in a 10 man league and 4 straight RBs were taken before me so I took Calvin and I don't regret it. Now that defenses need to respect Ebron and Tate I think Calvin is due for another monster year. I think the earliest I would take him is 4 depending on what was taken before him.
Where do people think Decker will be drafted? It remains to be seen if he can succeed without Peyton but he will definitely get the most targets on the Jets. 5th round?

I'm taking McCoy, followed by Charles, then AP
Calvin could go as high as #4 after the 3 studs are gone, and there are plenty RBs in the later rounds (Gore, Vereen, Bell, Sankey, Tate Moreno, SJax).
Decker's o-rank in Yahoo is 82, and I still don't want him. He'll get his RZ TDs, but I don't trust Geno. Rather have T-Will (80), Shorts (89), Wallace (91), or Wayne (77) over him. Or even Sanders at 90
of course Yahoo o-rank's will probably change a lot..but that's just how it is atm

unless something happens to him over the summer, this is jamaal's year to be the top dog. i don't know if that's the right call, you can draft mccoy and be perfectly happy with it, but i'm sure the consensus will be jamaal. or hey, you can say screw it and take AP, there are no rules and nobody really knows until the games happen.
as for calvin you can take him anywhere you want, he has a good #2 receiver to take a little pressure away now and is a lock to dominate his position. i love a lot of the (slightly) lower ranked WRs like dez, julio, monster marshall, etc but calvin is clearly the greatest at what he does. i'd say the same thing about jimmy graham, if you spend your big pick on a guy like that i have no qualms with it

no khiry no care
i'd prefer PT over all three, but wouldn't bet on strong production from any
ESPN Saints reporter Mike Triplett pegs second-year RB Khiry Robinson as a 2014 breakout candidate.
Signs have been pointing to an increased role for Robinson since he posted a 21-102-4.9-1 rushing line across two playoff games. The jump from West Texas A&M to the NFL was a tough one, as Robinson said early on he was "basically just running, hoping I went the right way." His role increased in the postseason and coach Sean Payton says Robinson is "a lot further along." With Payton wanting to run the ball more, Robinson should be a main beneficiary. His 2014 upside will be capped by Pierre Thomas and Mark Ingram, but both could be in their final seasons with New Orleans.Last edited by yuja; 06-03-2014 at 10:11 AM.

Last year BJGE had 18 carries inside the 10. Giovani Bernard had 10.
Last year law firm (BJGE) was the starter with Gio as a change of pace/3rd down back/home run hitter, who never received more than 15 carries in any single game. This year they drafted a rookie RB in the second round who looks to take over for law firm (who had a terrible YPC average of like 3.4 last year), BUT Giovani is set to be the starter this year, with law firm/new guy as the 2nd and 3rd backs.

Keeper league - Dez Bryant or AJ Green? Already have Shady in my top spot so which of these studs should I keep in my 2nd spot?

That's a sweeet 1-2 punch of keepers.
I don't think you can go wrong with either choice there.
I'd probably take Green because he isn't the head case Dez is. But I think Dez has more potential. It's just...he's not terribly mature and is a bit of a head case. But then Green has Dalton, so...
