Boils down to your definition, I guess. I'm doing 30 secs on, 30 secs off sprints. I think 14 is my best. No, I don't think pushing tires around is the same intensity. I'm in pretty fit shape and can't continue after that long. Occasionally I throw up.

My point of view: You can't do max effort for an hour unless your breaks are substantial.

Flipping a heavy tire over and over with no break for ~50yds is no joke. My last set will be slower than my first set but it will have the same level of intensity. And yes sometimes it takes 3 minutes to recover but as soon as I do I'm hitting the next set.

That's half of my point, though. 30 secs jogging off of a spring ISN'T enough time to recover, especially after you've already done the cycle 4 or 5 times. That's why you can only do it for ~15 mins. It's pushing your max without recovery. That's how it was originally designed.
