How long did it take for your hair to start looking decent?

I'm 3.5 months in or so and I want to cut it every single day. Looks horrible without a hat on, looks pretty stupid even with a hat on since it just sticks out from the sides and I have a mullet going on in the back

Currently 6 months in with 3 different curl patterns, but looks good so far have not hit that really awkward stage yet.

Plan to grow it to at least shoulder length.

Just keep growing it, think about how dumb it sounds. Brb cutting hair because you want longer hair. After like a year or so get a trim to clean it up

its straight for the first 10 weeks or so then gets curly like greniers

Same but I really like Grenier's hair tbh so it's something I'm striving for instead of lying to myself thinking I can get that long straight hair look.

I remember I grew mine out like Jim Morrison back in college... was sick once it was the right length, but was hell all the way up until I got there. Took about two years- I shiiiit you not, son. Stay strong.
