Losing weight but not getting the definition I want... need advice

[disclaimer: I'm posting this for a friend, and will rep for good advice]

I started cutting at a weight of 117kg (257LB) and have been using the 500 cal deficit method for my cut. I have been cutting for a little over 3 months, and have dropped down to 227LB. I am not really seeing any major definition - am I expecting results too soon? Or am I doing something wrong? Is 209LB a more realistic weight for me to start seeing major results?

I am looking for the six pack and the bulge on the bicep. I feel I am losing fat at the top of my stomach while at the same time when I grab the bottom fat of my stomach, I feel it's less than before. When I flex my bicep, I see the bulge coming out slowly. Do I just need more time to cut the others? What would you recommend I do from here.

    Background info:
    - Been lifting for 6 years. I've been able to put on significant muscle, but have never been able to achieve the leanness I desire
    - Have been through ~3 bulk and cut cycles

    I've attached 2 photos:
    - 3 months ago - note the lighting was very advantageous, no hair, etc.
    - today

Can't see pics on mobile but you wanna aim for slow fat loss to maintain as much muscle. Aim for a pound a week it's a steady process don't rush it
