Give this thread a chance. Everyone loses, just see where your going wrong and change it. Today I broke one of my rules. I didn't select the best pitcher of the night ( late night games on FD) Felix Hernandez and went with the cheaper Madison Bumgarner.

Hernandez currently has 7 IP with 11 SO = 18 PTS and will most likely get the win +5 . still in the game.
Bumgardner currently has 6 IP 7 SO and 4 ER might get the win + 5 and is no longer in the game.

I am going to lose half my games because I did not select the best pitcher for the night. Yea maybe you can grab a cheaper pitcher who ends up out pitching the top pitcher but this game is about consistency, over the long run your going to be better off choosing the best pitcher every night.

I'm shocked at some of the players the top finishing teams had.

The winner is one league had mostly Phillies players--if I recall correctly not one Philly player had a favorable matchup against Fernandez. I'm probably over thinking it all, but every player I always try to choose is on a hot streak and/or has good career numbers vs the particular pitcher their facing.

Oh well-- it's still fun. I cashed in 1 out of 3 that I entered yesterday.

If its a GPP ( large field thousands of players) then thats understandable. It was a risky play that payed off for that player since the phillies did not have a good matchup.

If it was a cash game ( 2-20 players) not recommended in the long run.
