I was pretty let down with OTWOA... It's not too malty, the flavor was just not right. I think Notorious and Chillwave are much more malty sweet.
Try Oud Beersel Oude Kriek. I think it tastes almost exactly the same as this beer at like 1/3 the cost.

At the Victory Brewery here in Downingtown, PA. I had no idea the brewery was literally 5 minutes from my hotel. This place is crowded as fukk. Dirt Wolf and Hop Ranch = better than expected. Dirt Wolf is better imho...

alcohol gets metabolized with priority over any medicine in the body.
you can take stuff with it (within reason, obviously), but it will slow it down substantially. Basically you waste (or delay) the meds.
That, and a stuffy palate means you aren't going to get the full taste of the brew.

Few days in Cali (Napa). Lagunitas and Russian River (as well as several vinyards). Many hangovers were had.
Russian River. Pliny, Supplication, Row 2, and then some. All delicious.
Minor first day haul
Lagunitas
Was excited to see Mango stoopid. Was WAY too syrupy for me. Tasted like someone spilled kids fruit punch in it. Bleh. Stuck with tap shugga and stoopid after the flights.

Lowes dropped off my second freezer today, different brand than my first one, but its the exact same damn freezer. I think Holiday just changed their name. Just pitched the westmalle yeast into my dubbel (Prior 8 clone) and I'm all set. 66% eff as expected. 65f for about 2 days and then letting it ride to 74. Its time to brew a buttload of beer to fill that keezer. I am probably going to try and get my collar designed and assembled next weekend. The dubbel is getting bottled because its the only right way to go about it. I might make a dark mild for the second keg.

You sound like me three years ago. The problem with Lag is a lot of their beers are not fresh but should be clearing up as they are either opening, or have opened a new brewery in Chitown iirc. You just need to check the bottle dates before you buy. It's hard to see as it's printed in black ink on the neck of a goddamn brown bottle, so you need to hold it up to the light. Also, it's in julian dating system, so that's also annoying.

At least they made it better last year by including the actual year in the format. I added a julian app on my phone just for the hell of it as well. Sierra Nevada just changed to the normal dating system finally also. I have been buying a lot more Lagunitas lately, as they seem to be showing up much more often lately. Most of the hoppy stuff like sumpin can be had at under a month old. I am looking forward to the new chi town brewery. I gotta say that I would buy most of their year round lineup if I found it fresh, but the Imperial stout is the worst beer in the whole lineup. Though it is still fairly enjoyable.
