I normally don't go for Amber Ales because alot of them are just too bland and generic tasting basic ales, but this is hands down the best amber I've had in a long time. The balance is perfect and it's pretty hopped up for an amber.


This one was just ok and nothing special. Tor**** is better than this.

Also, I was at Total Wine the other day and they had Avery Uncle Jacob's Stout for $14.99 for a 12oz bottle. Is this really that amazing of a stout?

Btw... finally got around to drinking jamz jams last night and tonight... holy mother of christ. Best homebrew? No. Try, it's better than at least 95% of the shyt I've ever had. Lawd jebus




First suspect, Jamz Citra Jam. Once I popped the cap, seriously, the area right in front of me smelled like citra hops were being wafted in front of me. Amazing nose. Awesome citra flavor, however the malt was a bit hollow in the middle jamz. IDK how to fix that, really, but ya, just fyi.





And then there was Jamz Nelson Jam... Welp. I can see why he homebrews in eye-da-hoe because nothing can come close to this sans a barley browns visit or some Boneyard export. Jesus this was on par with Alpine, maybe a twat hair below when alpine is 100% (which is fukking rare it seems). Seriously amazing dude. I would need a 6er, honestly, to try to find a flaw with the Nelson. And well, I'll take a 6er of the citra too because I can

Totally agree. 99 bottles are d-bags.
I dunno what it is, but they're like $2-5 over standard price on any bottles ( way more on the 'rare' or limited chit), and the staff there have a real pretentious attitude.

That young ass hippy chick is pretty cool, but the rest of em ... no thanks.

Literally told a friend of mine to "quit asking" when they were gunna open the case of Peche n Brett they got. Even though she waited an hour, went to lunch, came back, ran some errands, came back, etc. :/

thank for the feedback bro - i can add some body w/a little dextrin malt. i'd like to experiment with mash thickness though - ive heard a thicker mash can contribute to mouthfeel. you'll have to crack that wine one of these days
