Navaja was ok. Nice and juicy at first but got a bit too sweet towards the end. I still prefer daisy and double daisy cutter.

Haven't had the grapefruit sculpin yet, but a friend went to the brewery and scored two cases. I'll be trying it tonight

I drank a Laggy Nightime last night. It was pretty good. I get in the mood for black IPA occasionally.
A few of my faves are:

Parish Dr. Hoptagon~ U guys will never get to try it. Pretty Solid. Roasty and hoppy as fook.
Boulevard Grainstorm ~ prolly the best of the lot.
Lagunitas Night time ~ only had once..last night.

Blakkr was pretty good. Obviously had the Real Ale release down here, but surprised there's that much of a difference.

Sounds about right. But unless they only received a small amount for now, I'm not sure. They had a few cases of it sitting on shelves for a few months early this year I think.

I've actually never tried Sculpin. Every time I go to buy it they're either sold out or its an old 6'r. I keep looking for a fresh one to try out. Maybe this weekend. I scored a fresh Dorado over the winter. That was one of the best DIPA I've had.

Trying my first Bruery beer tonight.. Smoking Wood. chit's amazing. you get that smoky flavor with the rye, vanilla, molasses, caramel. so hnnnngggg and you can't even taste the 13% abv

Downside is that most of the best ones require a $500 membership, or some heavy ass trade bait :/

What do you guys think about double dry hopping? Have you tried it? Any benefits?

I was thinking of doing like 3 days on xx oz., then rack it off and do another xx oz addition for 3 more days
as opposed to just tossing it all in and letting it sit 7 days
I was reading that you can get better hop oil extraction that way? Thoughts?

Dr. Octagon is a rapper persona of Kool Keith which Parish is a fan of using a play on his name for their beer. The Dr Octagonecologyst album is particularly awesome because DJ Qbert made the beats & sick scratching tracks. His lyrics are batshyt crazy but lulzy.

Black Butte is weird... dat pomegranate up front is nice but I feel like it's out of place on a big ass barrel aged stout.
Bear Republic Tartare is awesome as fuk - sourest beer I've had yet... like beatification levels of tooth-melting pucker. Only downside is the smell. Smells like straight up nail polish remover. Don't smell it. lol
