I've got a similar issue with my front door because my wife decided she wanted a door with glass in it. I was able to get it pretty close w/o tearing out the frame but still a small crack. I just shove a towel down there when it gets below zero. I've tried some stick on seal but it always wears off.

Wet the ceiling. Get a water bottle and spray it. Try a small spot, you'll see. Comes off as easy as moving something sharp across the ceiling.Obviously, cover the floors if you can and just roll it up and toss it.
How big is the gap? Some door seals are thicker than others.★★★ A State of Trance Crew ★★★

i started the top coat on the cabinets today
it slightly/minorly wiped away some sections of the stain which sucks. overall it isn't that bad and barely noticeable. i'm sure i'll be satisfied considering it was less than $80 in materials.
the oven and over oven microwave are sort of jam packed.. again, overall i think it is coming together just fine and looking forward to showing you all pics on friday

When it comes to popcorn ceilings, I just went through the whole process at my house of wetting it down with a hand held sprayer and scraping. It came off fairly easy. Be careful when scraping to not take out any drywall.
Not sure if any of you subscribe to Family Handyman magazine, i know magazines are old-school, but i subscribed, it was a magazine drive for my niece's prom. Anyway, in their current issue, they show several ways on how to get rid of popcorn ceilings, including just putting sheetrock up over the top of the popcorn to cover it (you'd still have to tape and texture). They also had tongue and groove wood that went over the top.
The preparation is almost as agonizing as the work itself. Taping up plastic, covering all of the furniture or moving it completely. Taping light fixtures and outlets, total pain.

Damn how many sq. ft was it? I paid just over $2k for right at 40sq ft in my kitchen last year. Pretty standard color though, they had "exotic" colors there that were twice as much but I honestly didn't think any of them looked that good and would be quicker to go out of style.
Got a three day weekend coming up and I'm planning to do quite a bit of work on my laundry room in that time. Going to paint, install cabinets, and build a pedestal to put the washer and dryer on. I bought some Lowe's gift cards discounted to save myself some money so hoping those get in a day or two early so I can start before Saturday morning.MFC

lol basically. cheapest set without going amana or anything like that.
2k was my budget.. i ended up spending about 2300 because i went with the updated oven.
in total i've put about $20k into the home (roof repairs..furnace..A/C...kitchen/bathrooms...backyard...etc). I bought in June and my equity is up about $55k. i'm a real estate agent so everything I've done has been planned out so far following the RE and rental market trends to maximize profit.

java gel stain + arm r seal top coat + new hardware. I spent approximately $150 vs $7k for new cabinets. They look pretty damn good for what it is...
