That's gone already, a record for me. ^ But I picked up the wet-process of the same coffee, and it's ready to go just in time for xmas:

It's a cool patent, using centrifugal force to create the crema, instead of pump-driven force like a regular espresso machine. Flinging it at high speed against the sides of the centrifuge emulsify the lipids and other components into thick crema. Too bad it's not fresh, high quality beans.

Pro tip: most Ethiopia are organic by default. Paying for organic certification is lame, it costs poor farmers $$$, which can be spent on paying workers more, providing hospital or schooling, or development of better coffees.
Yes I have a great Ethiopia now:

I wouldn't be satisfied with the Clever after using the Nespresso Vurtuo Plus.....even with the french press I can get a tiny bit of oil/creme to come out with an espresso grind if I stir and from pressing the coffee up through the filter. That Clever just looks like what you would get from a Kuerig.

If you're in it for appearances, I don't know what to say. I can pull a gorgeous shot of espresso that tastes like ****; I can pull great shots that taste better than great looking shots from your nespresso. The Clever is a drip method, crema doesn't come into play with drip.

New Ethiopia in. I've had this one before, a few years ago. I brewed my first roast up this morning, roasted last night. I popped open my Yeti at work here, and it smells like Fruit Loops. Tastes super fruity too.
Since many people are ordering in, use code 'misc' for a discount. At least we can all enjoy good coffee in these crappy times!~ Roast Master, Resident Coffee Warlock~

So I've been drinking coffee wrong.
While I was in Mexico I tried a Moka Pot. For those unaware it's this.
Basically a coffee percolator / espresso style coffee through a pot. Anyways I loved how the oils from the beans are retained. I tried to drink it with milk/sugar, but I realized I didn't need it.
Growing up I would usually drink drip coffee because that's what my mom would drink. She would use a bit of creme and sugar, which in hindsight tastes alright because the oils are sucked by the filter with a drip. I use a Chemex at home and do cold brew from time to time which I like, but I picked up a French Press today.
I gotta say DAMN. Really good. Not too much sludge like the Moka Pot creates but a very rich taste. Not a stripped flavor like the Chemex.
Anyways I'm French Press Crew for a while. The Moka I liked but I think I can do French Press more meticulously with my electric kettle to get consistent results.A hit was sent, from the President, to raid your residence /

I like my moka pot better than my French press but it's a little bit of a PITA to keep track of. To do it right you have to keep it on very low heat then take it off whenever it's done. They aren't really comparable though, to me the French press would be ideal if all else failed and was complete last resort.
