What is the BBB workout? I didn't do them in supersets. Just regular fashion, about 1 minute rests in between. Just wasn't feeling like anything serious. That's what happens when I get bored with the regular, lol.
Only ended up working half a day today because we are sloooooooooow. I can't help feeling 'free' when you're out doing stuff on a nice day instead of at work lol. Good feels. So today for the gym I wanted to practice some more of these new exercises.
The bodysaw is like an ab wheel but for people who can't do the ab wheel lol. Like a military crawl but stationary. Brings back wrestling memories.
Kneeling cable lift is another good one. Really works, well, everything.
Farmers carries was a pain in the butt when finishing out a workout. Forearms burn like a mo'fo.
Landmines are tits. Talk about multi-muscle burner and there are so many things you can do.
Tried some more dead lifts. Not going to lie, the girls can DL more than me currently. 225 is what I did and it made me huff-n-puff.
7/11 Friday

This;
...One of their crew hated training, but knew that he had to do it to be the best. So while the others were training heavy and hard he just did a simple workout a couple times a week:
Squat – 10 sets of 10 reps at 315
Supersetted with
Bench press – 10 sets of 10 reps at 315
Not a bad workout for someone who apparently didn't care about training and lifting. Hell, I'm not even certain of the truth of the story but it's cool to retell it. The point is, the basics are always the best.
Wrestling crew checking in! Did you wrestle high school/college, or did you just do freestyle tourneys?

Same, for the most part! I started at 13, I think... So about 8-9ish years. It's taken me to many great places (sadly, it didn't take me to college, though). Took up freestyle after I finished high school. Have done a little bit of Greco Roman, but wasn't sure whether or not I liked it. It's strange how America is the only country that practices Folkstyle wrestling.

Wrestling just isn't all that big period in America. I've heard of more schools getting into it but it largely seems like a Northern thing, usually where ever farms are, lol. Really not sure how accurate that is but that is what it feels like. I started in free style but hate it compared to high school wrestling. I watched a kid once get like 10 points just from gator rolling someone a bunch back-to-back. And there is my favorite, kids pinning themselves in high school. Can tell they free style too much lol.
Busy and stuck lol. Guess who is going back to high calories..... THIS GUY! Guess who shouldn't drop calories so low..... Yup, this guy, again.
So some food porn from the weekend. Nothing special, but worth sharing I thought.
^Breakfast Saturday. Parm cheese, sausage, veggies, bacon, delicious. Need to do this from now on.
^Made keto cups. Probably better if I keep it just peanut butter and coconut oil. No reason to mess up a good thing.
^Smashed all these this weekend. Each cup is 1 tbsp. I got 13 cups out of 3oz coconut oil, 3oz PB, 1 tbsp cocoa, and sweetened to taste, plus some sample licks.
7/14 Monday
Intake
3748 calories, 199g protein, 35g CHO, 289g fat
Workout
DB military press: 10 x 20, 10 x 30, 10 x 40, 10 x 60, 10 x 60, 10 x 60
Face pulls: 84 x 21s, 84 x 21s, 84 x 21s
DB side laterals: 15 x 21s, 15 x 21s, 15 x 21s
BB Upright rows (wide grip): bar x 28s, bar x 28s, bar x 28s
Land mines (35lb): 10 core twists, 10 linear shoulder press, hot potato 'till fried x 3
Isolated wrist rolls: 2x25, 1x25, 1x25
My forearms are definitely going to be taking a beating on this new scheme. Probably the core too. Extra calories will be used lol."I don't believe you have to be better than everybody else. I believe you have to be better than you ever thought you could be." -Ken Venturi

Yeah, the rolling did always kind of bother me. But at the same time, I do have to say that I like how Freestyle works a little bit better in some regards. Two 5-point take downs gives you a quick tech-fall. Won an entire tourney up in the New Jersey area just getting 5-point take downs, and letting my opponent back up before doing it again.

No way, bro, that food is not evil. It is all keto friendly The cups weren't that great. Don't get me wrong, they work for dessert, but I'm really partial to just coconut oil and PB I guess lol. That breakfast though is what ya need. Jalapeno sausage, parm, onion, bacon, collard greens, spinach, kale. Just needs some eggs.
I'll try them with just PB and coconut this week. I have 4 jars sitting in the cupboard on standby. Fukkers always run out of my favorite PB, and I loves my PB .
Man, I don't even remember how to get 5 points lol. That's what I'm talking about though. To a degree I accept it takes some skill to do, but on the other hand I consider it a joke. I wrestled heavy weight and we roll a lot. In my prime I was 215-220 wrestling 275lb men and it would exhaust me so much at times with all their weight but once you get them on the ground, they roll over way easier than any other weight class. I had to learn all the tricks to using peoples body weight to make my job easier. Definitely learned fast. My favorite stories of wrestling usually consist of countering hip throws with a hip throw. Do it hard enough and you'll knock the wind out of them / make them cry.
7/15 Tuesday
Intake
3619 cals, 199g protein, 35g CHO, 275g fat
Workout
Leg press: 10x180, 5x270, 5x360, 5x450, 5x540, 5x630, 5x650
Deadlift: 10x180, 10x200, 10x220 (Should see a decent running start)
Seated calves: 30x90, 30x90, 30x90
**3 Super Sets**
Hanging knee raises: 10 reps
Weighted lunges: 10 reps each leg, 40 lb kettle bells each hand
Farmer Carries: 1 lap, 40 lb kettle bells
**Resume**
Hamstring curls (kieser): 20x90, 20x90, 20x90
I subbed hamstring curls today because what I'm suppose to do is a 'Hanging single leg straight leg bridge' but it needs more practice lol. Might need lighter kettle bells, forearms fry fast. The lunges with the weight is harder than I expected. It is the coming up off the knee where I feel most of it. I'm okay with this start. I was told while dead lifting that my form was perfect. I was like, "hell yeah, I had the Hulse man to learn from."
Side note, I miss being on the cut band wagon. Falling off sucks. So my maintenance is ~3800-4000. That makes 10% ~400 calories, and 20% ~800 calories. So I was cutting at ~28% when eating 2900 cals. Probably shouldn't go under 3200, except weekends, for awhile.

On a side note, I'm stoping my anti-carb crusade. Turns out refeeds are the best way to increase leptin levels when they drop from dieting. Turns out 'keto refeeds' are pointless too. Funny you should say that actually. After 3 weeks in a row of "ruining" things with carb fests on the weekends I started looking into carb nite as my brother in law was having amazing success with it. I decided I was goin to stick with keto BUT if I did go mad on weekends I would simply see it as a carb up. I guess mentally it just helped me not stress about things.

Was able to do chest and triceps Saturday but my chest was still sensitive. Anyways, I just wanna post my workout.

Flat bench DB: 10x50, 5x70, 5x90, 5x95, 5x95
Tricep Dips: 10, 10, 10

I figure if my body is going to be stubborn, I might as well take advantage. Had a Heineken with my bud the other night after some massive grilling. Woke up to have breakfast with the family. My Mom made my family's famous pancakes (seriously was trademarked and all) and some of the family's pure maple syrup that was amazing. The syrup was lighter than expected and the bran pancakes were bomb. I'm going to go ahead and give myself two weeks of a 12-16% deficit, if things don't start looking up, I'm going to lose it lol."I don't believe you have to be better than everybody else. I had to. Pancakes are only made once in a blue moon and that chit was off the hook. No regrets.
That might work if the pancake was a like a McGriddle cake, ya know? Like stout beer batter and a McGriddle cake inside kind of thing. Better yet, apple and cinnamon pancakes with WoodChuck cider batter. If not, find a sweet beer lol. Oberon pretty much dominates my area.
A few pictures while trying to cook and fest!
^Cooking the steaks after a round of cajun burgers covered in pepper jack cheese. Flame action from pouring butter and steak fat on them. *grunts*
^Roasted garlic with butter and steak fat Cooked a little too long for the small pieces but the big ones were perfect. Reminded me of mashed potatoes.
^this label is old as fukk. Ingredients: wheat flour, oatmeal flour, ground wheat bran, baking powder, salt, *cant read ingredient*, fig juice, prune juice, *rest of ingredients is a bunch of micros*. These pancakes are the best, and ironically, all whole food ingredients.
7/21 Monday
Intake

Workout
DB military press: 10x30, 10x40, 10x50, 10x65, 10x65, 10x65
Face pulls: 21s x 84, 21s x 84, 21s x 84, 21s x 84
DB side lateral raises: 21s x 15, 21s x 15, 21s x 15, 21s x 15
Upright rows: 28s x 45bar, 28s x 45bar, 28s x 45bar, 28s x 45bar
**Landmine (35lb) Tri sets x 4 sets**
core twists: 10 each side
shoulder press: 10 each side
Hot potato: to fail
*****
Wrist rolls: 2x25, 1x25, 1x25, 1x25, 1x25
I'm going to play around with a 25 lb plate next time I think for the land mines. I'm still experimenting and curious if lighter weight improves the workout. Other than that those things are pretty brutal I think."I don't believe you have to be better than everybody else. I believe you have to be better than you ever thought you could be." -Ken Venturi

It really isn't that bad. I do it at the end of my landmine circuit because it makes me sweat a lot and helps exhaust a lot of areas I think. Wondering if maybe I'm using too much weight though limiting its effectiveness. I'll tinker with it later and see if less weight is better or not. Either way, the whole landmine routine frickin' kills me. Unfortunately, playing with landmines draws too much attention to myself. Too many people asking what I'm doing, what it works, blah, blah, blah, never seen that chit before.

Leg press: 5x180, 5x270, 5x360, 5x450, 5x540, 5x630, 5x660 (+ 10lbs)
Seated calves: 30x90, 30x90, 30x90, 30x90 (added a set)
*****4 Tri-sets*****
Hanging knee raises: 10 reps
Weighted lunges: 10 reps each leg, 45 lb kettle bells each hand
Farmer Carries: 1 lap, 45 lb kettle bells
*******
Hamstring curls (keiser): 20x90, 20x90, 20x90, 20x90 (added a set)
Okay, so I messed up some where with my tri-sets. On my white board I have it listed as I used a 45lb kettle bell, but in my log I have it listed as 40. Maybe that Is why my forearms were completely trashed after this workout. They just kept failing. Guess I'll be working with a 45lb kettle bell from now on. I also got another compliment on my DL situation. Most people DL facing a mirror for some reason. I do mine with the side of my body towards the mirror so I can check my form as I'm doing them. So this dude DLing by me was watching me and then asked if I was doing it sideways so I can check my form. I told him I have to do it that way since I just started doing them, don't have the feel down, and I want to make sure I'm doing them safe. He's going to start doing them sideways now too, lol."I don't believe you have to be better than everybody else. I believe you have to be better than you ever thought you could be." -Ken Venturi
