Knee Injury 8 weeks out how much size will I lose....anyone had similar situation?

    8 weeks out

during heavy squats felt sharp pain in 1 knee

    hurt on every leg exercise

going to take 1-2 weeks off legs

If I'm lucky enough to train light weight for high reps the next 8 weeks, how much size will I lose in the legs? anyone had this experience before?
Bodybuilding is all about image not numbers, when you're up on stage your lifting stats and bodyfat % means nothing to the judges.

I suggest you try to find workarounds to help keep size on your legs. maybe extensions, V squats, etc... Even if u cannot hit them really heavy at least get a good pump to keep size. If u work them to some degree u will not lose size in 8 weeks. Good luck and may your prep be successful!

    that sucks, bro!
yeah Id agree with knowsthesky. Find a few leg exercises that don't hurt and keep them high rep low weight. good luck at your show.

I had exactly the same thing happen 8 weeks out from my last comp. I found that I was able to keep working with some exercises. If you are struggling to do heavy weights try using Blood flow restriction training with weights 20-30% your max. Look up articles on BFR (otherwise known as occlusion) by Layne Norton or Jeremy Loenneke for more specific instruction.

I found BFR along with being more focussed on exercises such as leg press (squats were pretty much a no go) helped me maintain the majority of muscle mass and definition up to comp.
