Been trying to do some more research on people, specifically their healed work. After seeing some results, I have to say I am very pleased with what I've had done lol.

A while back I asked about Arlo, as I love his morph style, and his fresh pics look beautiful. I was warned that his stuff heals WAY light... Ignore the fresh piece on the second pic, and focus on the healed shark boat...

It seem like his heal stuff looks a lot better, he got some heal stuff on ig n doesn’t look too light. FYI if u like morphing style u should look at mumia n Tony mancia. Did u get a hold of ad pancho?

i was thinking the opposite. the healed doesnt look nearly as good as the fresh

I was comparing it to the link Mr. Chino3 posted. The heal pieces he has been posting looks a lot better.

I've considered getting one of my 4 year old Boston Terrier, still on the fence about it. It would need to look almost lifelike for me though.

Just wait. Not saying you will change your mind, I'm saying it will be that much more special when you need it... hope that makes sense. I waited, and am glad I did. It helped with the healing process, but also gave me that many more pictures to choose from.

Yeah, I'd be worried about it turning out like a cartoon though, a real life portrait would be ideal.

My gf had a neotrad of her cat's face done. Turned out super awesome, and captured it way better than any realism portrait would imo.

Also, decided to pass on AD Pancho. The plan was to do a full sleeve, but at $3k/day and travelling coast to coast, it just wasn't wise. I've been talking to some people that got work from him in the Netherlands and his rates are WAY lower. So I am going to try book with him at his home shop, which would be an awesome experience IMO.

Yeah good idea. Likely cheaper including your flights to Europe as well lol. Just make a mini holiday out of it.

The piece that sticks out in my mind was renaissance / statuesque style with a horse and crazy background scene with a light greyscale and crazy shading.

Did two full days in a row during a tattoo convention. Got this, and a bit on the other side of the forearm done. Gonna finish the other side in a month, and then proceed for full sleeve. Done by Sergey Butenko, super humble and very talented, won 1st place for dinosaur sleeve and just run out to the stage when he was tattooing me lmao. Really happy with his work

Christ that first one is awesome. Eye popping color.

Haven't had any new ink in 6 years. Feelbadman. Need touch ups, additions, and new pieces

I moisturize (lotion but gonna switch to coconut oil) and use sunscreen when I go out, but is there a product that will really make the colors pop, make it vibrant etc? Sunscreen usually makes it look bit more faded and whiteish despite rubbing it in nicely, but when I want to show off or somethig, anything good for that, bio oils or oils in general?

I dont know about making them pop, but keeping up your routine will help maintain. Every morning I lather up with a coconut oil based lotion, and any time I might have sun even touch my work for minutes, I use spray on sunscreen (no white film).

He got to the studio and didn't know what we were tattooing. Gonna connect the astronaut somehow into the design with this new artist and I'm pretty stocked about the outcome. Maybe some asteroid/space theme in the inner biceps and some imagery from Armageddon movie

Here ~10 months old. Lost some color and needs a touch up on parts of helmets visor, but it doesnt bother me so much

I was going to get a forearm sleeve from him which I would guess to be around 2 days. $7k + flying to Japan is not worth it right, guys??? Talk me out of spending $10k for a forearm sleeve...

yea no doubt the experience would be insane but booking a flight($1.5k), getting hotel for 2 wks, getting food, and paying for the tattoo would cost well over $10k just for a forearm sleeve. I still really want to do it because he's my favorite artist but this would hurt

I'd say the forearm will take 2 - 3 days depending on your size imo. At the last convention the project my artist has created would easily fit on a normal persons forearm and would be done within 2 days. My forearms are pretty big, and it turns out I would have a lot of blank space left so we had to expand the project and push it to three sessions.

Imo, if you have the 10k then just do it. What else you are going to spend it on? Personally I would not fly that far for an artist, but I am biased as I am temporarily in Poland right now and there is a lot of amazing slavic artists.

Appreciate the input bro. I do have the 10k but I also want a full sleeve at some point. Are there any North American artists that are on Lil B's level? I also got accepted by Jun Cha but his waiting list is 3 years

horrible idea. there is so many artists appearing all over the usa doing and killing the same subject matter... mike cruz in texas, steve wimmer in san diego...
