I just want more....
Got 4 total
-cross/arms/wing for my dad on my upper right arm
-"Una Vita' in my upper right under-arm
-A/A and 2/7 cards with the text 'It's not about the cards you're dealt in life, it how you play them' on my upper left arm
-"Carpe Diem' in my upper left under-arm
I want sleeves...perhaps one wrap into one side of my chest but not an entire chest piece... but don't know how to go about the design or how to 'spin-off' of my current tattoos to make it all merge/look good together. Do have some things in mind I want in my sleeves/half-chest:
-An owl (symbolic meanings (wisdom/seeing) along with the 'death' meaning... not literally but metaphorically for those unaware: the 'death' of a phase in someones life. i.e. I tend to 'kill' bad habits and influences around me and change my ways for the better day-in-and-day-out (self development)....also, the eyes+eye brows of an owl look like 'oVo' which Drake (one of my favorite artists) was born in October and throws around 'oVo' and an owl is one of his symbols...I was born in october, I'm October's Very Own as well. This is just a little bonus lol
-A wolf. yes, cliche, but i feel like it represents me. Would want it to look as realistic as possible.
-Various themes/symbols/ideas taken from the cover-art of the Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage, and All That Remains discographies. My top-3 favorite bands for the past few years and I relate to their music very well.... A7X being my all-time favorite and their cover art is sweet. Would have a few lyrics in the sleeve somewhere.
...Just don't know how I want it all done and merged in with my current tats to make it all look like one big awesome piece of art.
Edit: I'm really fkking digging the design at the top of where it says 'All That Remains' on this album cover... definitely want this incorporated somewhere and could even take that design further into the sleeve/half-chest:

Does anyone have experience with having tattoo sessions day after day? I will be travelling overseas and since there won't be much time to complete it during my trip, i will be doing 3 long sessions, day after day. I was wondering if anyone ever experienced it before and how does the healing process work with that ? is it the same as any other tattoo ? wouldn't other area peel faster than certain area ?

My plan was the same, and I asked here. Here's a link to my question on this thread. Answers quickly posted afterwards. The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice, it is conformity. -Rollo May

You have some serious ink and I wanted your advise on a sleeve I'm looking into getting. If you were looking for someone in the states to do a venecian mask full sleeve who would you believe to be the best for the job. Darren Wright is the guy I would like to do it but he's in London and there's gotta be someone in the states perhaps Cali who could do the job just as well
(Advise from all is appreciated)

Mad respect to those folks that book niki, nikko, jun, ect and end up getting leg pieces. Im sorry, but if i spent that much $$$ i would sure as hell want the piece to be on my chest/back/arm. No brag/show-off. Just wouldn't be able to live with paying that much for a piece that i wouldn't see the majority of the time. And before you say well they are probably already tatted up.. no i have legit seen pictures of people without sleeves/other work that get a leg piece.

I can see where you're coming from, I guess it could be a case some people just don't want to show it off all the time or maybe they can't due to work/family or something. Also a leg's a much larger canvas which can make for some incredible pieces that just wouldn't work/fit on an arm with enough detail etc. It seems to be more often than not (Though certainly not all the time, like you said) that people will move on to their legs once their upper half is "used up".
Same case with back-pieces really; "Just wouldn't be able to live with paying that much for a piece that i wouldn't see the majority of the time."
I hope this post doesn't sound like I'm trying to be a cheeky kent, brah!

I have an old tat on one arm that is currently in the process of being removed, but other than that, my arms are bare. My right leg is about halfway covered with work, but it's from three top notch artists in their field. I can see where you're coming from though. I have one more session on my back and then I'll start my first arm sleeve with a top-tier artist.

Haha well you guys are the exception. Hopefully one day i am in the same "predicament" ! haha. Oh and also, in regards to being "seen" you got to take in mind that i also meant showcasing your art to others. Kind of hard if you have it on your leg. inb4zyzzshorts lel
Ahh i understand brah. I just guess its rare to see someone that essentially starts with their leg. I'm just not the best off financially so thats maybe why i am a little biased. Goodluck with your arm and back! I also hope the tattoo removal goes well!
I see where you are coming from brah. I guess i just didn't take all of the different possible situations that could be at hand. Personally, i just can't relate to that situation so its harder to see the reasoning clearly. I see what you mean though brah. I just feel that unless im on that CEO 10k/day i would not do it. However, that is true, you really could have the potential to fit a huge piece on a flatter more large canvas versus your arm that has to be worked around.

First tattoo is in the books brahs. Sat with Mike McMahon for about 9 hours (with breaks) on an Icarus piece on my ribs of him falling. Will post some pictures soon.
Have 8 hours scheduled with Dave Tedder Sunday to start on the mentioned Perseus and Medusa piece from around mid-thigh to just under the other armpit.
Now it's time for IHOP and sleep

I'm still trying to plan and book (it won't be this year anyways), but my preference is 2 days back to back, then adding to it a year after. I think I'll be taking yearly vacations and traveling to the UK since it's not too far and I've got friends there (free beds). The problem is, the artist I'm trying to book takes forever to reply to each email.
Btw why are you getting your tattoo overseas? I'm traveling for mine because artists in my country (Jordan) aren't as good as I'd prefer. Australia, on the other hand, has some serious talent. The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice, it is conformity. -Rollo May

Did 33 hours in 3 days. Tuesday=15 hr (left arm quarter sleeve finished), Wednesday=10 hr (bottom of right quarter sleeve), Saturday=8 hr (top of right quarter sleeve & finishing touches).
Prior to that I had only small tattoos with no sittings longer than 30 minutes. I flew across the country with no idea if I could sit that long lol. It's doable, and I prefer this method over having an unfinished piece.
How painful is the outer forearm compared to the inner? I already know by the elbow is going to hurt like a b*tch. I feel (and hope) that the outer forearm might be a tad less sensitive. Finally going to have the bulk of my left arm finished and I'm itchin to get this show on the road!Last edited by SheWulf; 07-04-2014 at 06:42 AM.

There are pics floating around here somewhere, and in my IG (sig). My arm is going to pay pretty good tribute to the Lowrider shop because my entire arm (minus a little text) is going to be all from their crew. Sam on the top, pablo on the inner forearm, and now the GOAT himself Jose will be doing the outer forearm and finishing touches.
I'm so damn honored and excited to have Jose do this piece on tuesday!

Yeah, you're right. I see that after back tracking a bit. I suppose it would be your best bet if completed in segments so the same area wouldn't be reworked back to back. Otherwise sounds pretty painful and not very conducive to healing. I've just come off a 13 hour shift so my comprehension is sub par at the moment.
Happy 4th my inked brothers!

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while. I've now got 4 pieces done by Matt Houston here in Vancouver, most of my forearm is done save for the bottom of the wrist. Unfortunately Matt is moving to Amsterdam in the next couple months; so my plan for him to do my whole arm has had a curveball thrown in.
Now, I also want Steve Byrne to do alot of work on me; Rock of ages tattoo in Austin. TX. Would you guys suggest splitting up the work, so each sleeve is for each artist, or just finish my left arm with Steves work, then if Matt comes back get more work done elsewhere? I'd love to have a complete sleeve, but the styles are a bit different, and I feel like saving my arm for him would be more respectful as I did mention I wanted to have him do the arm (before plans of moving ever came out).
Thoughts? I am willing to fly out to get work done; but Amsterdam is mighty far compared to Texas, so I'm torn.
