are we talking ganja-based smoking or nicotine?

This outlines basically every vice http://suppversity.blogspot.ca/2014/...e-alcohol.html

if you don't feel like reading here's some short notes (although interesting read)

    - With its CNS stimulating and dopaminergic effects 3-(1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinyl)pyridine aka nicotine does at first appear to be a very likely candidate for every pre-workout supplement. Unfortunately, it does also enhance the effect of serotonin and opiate activity and will thus override its own stimulatory with a calming and depressing effect (Silvette. 1962)

-Nicotine is just a basic stimulatory compound with the same basic side-effects of stimulants, and is probably similar (practically, not mechanistically) to ephedrine. That being said, its introduction to society was basically "Let's go full retard off the bat" and people overdosed on nicotine through cigarettes, and the vessel of the cigarette enhanced the good and the bad of nicotine. It is horribly overhyped both in its fat burning abilities and especially in the hatred for 'proper' (by proper, I mean not OD-ing on not cigarettes) usage of Nicotine
