    It looks very "bro"
7 meals, post-workout dextrose, casein before bed etc.
None of this makes much of a difference in body composition you realise?

haha yea I get that. The diet has 4 meals of shakes or snacks which is easy for me being at college to bring with me and then 3 large meals

I'm at about 22 percent fat right now. Is there a percentage I should do or how many grams should I add?

If that is what you like..
I personally prefer to eat more whole food, less frequently.
You should ditch the egg white, eat the whole egg and up your fats.

You don't see anything with taking "15 gummy bears" post workout, on a calorie restricted diet.

I don't really see what's wrong with it. I have been losing weight and it fits the macros plus it's only 15 after I workout. My body consumes it's right away. Ppl use dextrose it's the same thing pretty much.

Do I think he's probably doing it for bro science and an "insulin spike"? Yes. Will it affect or hurt his overall cut if he eats them? Not at all. If he likes them, why not?

Haha sorry Im new to this thing but I laugh when everyone keeps saying bro science. I don't really have to eat the gummy bears. I followed my cutting diet from layne norton the ultimate cutting diet and he said to have simple carbs in post workout shake so I added the gummy bears. Also on Jim Stoppanis shortcut to shred he has you eat 14 pixy sticks post workout so its the same thing basically. I haven't seen much of a difference from using them and not using them cuz i've tried both so if theres no difference why not eat them cuz its one thing I actually look foward to eating lol

Eat it because you enjoy it, just realize it's not going to "flood the muscle" with the nutrients quickly and the "anabolic window" post workout is all bs. I still suggest you read the stickies at the top of god nutrition forum for calculating your TDEE and macronutrients

up the fats a bit, drop the proteins. Shoot for:
fat = .5 grams per lb of LBM
Protein = 1 gram per lb of LBM
    Its never too late.

Which was what I was getting at.

But FYI: There are more filling and better food/foods to be eating than 15 gummy bears while on a calorie restricted diet.

I often skip half a meal, and restructure my day appropriately (for satiety), just so I can have gummy bears or an equivalent.
I know it's retarded. :P But I like having sweets every once in a while, and I'd like to not exceed my calorie goal while having 'em.

I don't eat it for 'insulin spikes', just sometimes when I'm catching up on "my stories" (and suddenly I was 70 yo, wtf)

I know it's retarded. :P But I like having sweets every once in a while, and I'd like to not exceed my calorie goal while having 'em.

I don't eat it for 'insulin spikes', just sometimes when I'm catching up on "my stories" (and suddenly I was 70 yo, wtf)
Assuming that the meal you're eating is full of micronutrient dense food/foods, it's merely just you fitting a food (if you want to call it that) void of decent nutrition into your diet. I still would eat the rest of the meal though, gummy bears do suck.

Honestly, they rarely are. I can't afford to buy fresh veggies all the time. :P
But I get your point, even the dullest whole foods in the world would be better than gummy bears, in terms of nutrition.

But every once in a while, one needs to ingest a bit of sanity. I do realize though, that I'm just just replacing decent carbs with sugar.

FYI: "fresh veggies" aren't always the most micronutrient dense food/foods, and even if they were they are always cheap (depending on where you live of course).

"cheap" is indeed relative. I can get 2 pounds of high quality rye bread for the same price as a top of broccoli or a 3-pack of bell peppers.

Right now I have like 15-20 bucks left until the 31st, so, yeah.
April is going to be the first month where I'm dieting from day one, so I can make better choices then. :P I'll be learning more about nutrition for the next two weeks as well, so, April should be a really good month.
