I like the taste of fresh or minced Garlic better than garlic powder. I believe garlic powder has additives in it ? I may be wrong been a long time since I checked it out.

"Garlic supplementation in rats along with a high protein diet has been shown to boost testosterone levels ..."

Here's the study they were referring to:

They used garlic powder.
You can make your own garlic powder...all you need is a food dehydrator and a coffee grinder
(EDIT: The homemade garlic powder loses its punch pretty quick)No supplement has the power that is greater than the power of eatin' clean and liftin' hard.

if you have a sams club they have a 3-4 pound tub of fresh garlic cloves in a container for like 6 dollars. you keep the refridgerated. powder for cooking is not even close to what fresh tastes like, same with onion. If you get concentrated aged garlic pills then yes... but 2 dollar seasoning? nahhh

it may retain the sulfide but you may lose the immune-boosting properties, as acillin is relatively fragile and is lost during most cooking/heating/processing methods.
what I do is chop up 2 cloves, drizzle with a tablespoon of extra virgin, sprinkle with coarse sea salt (aids in mashing) and use the side of the knife to crush and mash the garlic with the salt and olive oil. I put it on toast or my eggs in the morning, but the main point is not to cook it because the acillin content has been shown to drop significantly after only 3 minutes of cooking.
food channel is running an entire show on garlic right now, funny coincidence.2007 INBF Long Island Experience:
