I'm curious to see how they depict Detroit in the future cause they certainly called it in the original.

I saw it the other day. Not sure how much they shot there, but they definitely portrayed it better than the original did. The OCP tower is depicted as right next to the GM Ren Cen. Overall the movie wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular either. They changed some of the storyline that I thought took some out of the plot. I was a kid when the original came out and liked that movie when I was younger, so I was interested in how this one went. Definitely a lot less graphic and gross that the original. When I was a kid that scene where they shot his hand off really freaked me out.

I liked the original one too. In the new one there's scenes from a rooftop glass enclosed office with views of the surrounding countryside for miles around. If that building is located in Detroit now it would be nice to see.

Saw the reboot, and while the acting was good by the cast--particularly Keaton and Jackson--I preferred the original. This version was a bit less cynical in its tone, but the music wasn't anything special for me, special in that it borrowed from the original and couldn't come up with anything better. The CGI was excellent as I expected it to be, but still, I'd go with the Verhoeven version. JMO...
