I'd say people should stick to Reeves and Gironda.

They're at the proper middle ground of lean vs big and most gym rats tend to overestimate their physiques anyway.

You won't casually surpass these guys after a few years, trust me.

I know an Australian natural physique/fitness competitor who recently competed in the natural olympia who was on gear about a year prior to that competition, and has run several cycles. You never can tell man. But i do believe that Nathan Wallace is indeed natty.

But honestly it's very hard to say for sure. Your best bet - as people have said - is to look at the (probably) pre-steroid era; before 1960.

People were on gear prior to 1960. They were very popular with olympic athletes in the 40s-50s

hey OP, repsect for your views on gear, and agree all the way. If you look into local natty comps (here in Australia i follow the competitiors in the INBA fed) you can find more reliable role models (but then again, you'll never know what someone has taken). I look up to our national competitors like Denver Steyn, Micheal Waddington, Trevor Hunis, Nathan Wallace and international competitors like Jeff Willet, Skip Lacour and Kiyoshi Moody. All the best mate

Nathan Wallace had a breakout year in 2013. IMO, he's one to keep an eye on.

I can't honestly think of any sport (except for chess and snowboarding) where athletes wouldn't need to take something. Major disciplines of athletics have so much gear that it puts bodybuilders to shame.
