I know hindsight is 20/20 but I'm surprised no one asked Jacob to elaborate.

I think even if a discussion opened up about his suicidal feelings in that thread it would have been deleted, seems to be the pattern with suicidal threads, it's like a taboo to discuss it.

You do see those threads pop up on the misc and no one takes them seriously. I guess with all the trolls, and in his case the vagueness of the post, no one could've guessed he was actually in a dark place.

This one hit me more in the feels than usual because in my early 20's I was in a very dark place. Its hard to explain to people that have never thought like that, but even if you have a good life, friends, family, you can't shake that feeling of worthlessness. For some it ends like this. RIP, brah.
