-Tech usage is widespread, and everyone lies about it
-The massive amounts of tech pros take
-The concept of bodybuilding being all about never being good enough or big enough, and again, having to take massive amounts of drugs to achieve that end
-Synthol
-The amount of vanity it creates. I spend far too much time looking at myself in the mirror, and I'm just a regular guy who lifts to look good, not a competitor or anything like that
-G4P and the whole idea of "muscle worship"
-Supplement companies hiding their formulas behind proprietary blends, and selling snake oil
-The fact that many before/after photos are extremely misleading: are taken on the very same day, photoshopped, use maniulative lighting, lie about the timeframe
-Kai Greene and his grapefruit
-A number of people who have gotten into lifting idolize a guy who killed himself in his early twenties with a cocktail of drugs that exacerbated his previously existing heart condition
-The terrible gym memes
There's also this, (not that I think there's anything wrong with being gay):
And last, but not least this article, from which I've selected the following excerpt. You know what never mind, there's too much to choose from, just read/skim it on your own: http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_...und_breakers_1Bodybuilding is easily the gayest sport ever invented:
• it is predicated entirely on looks--not physical prowess.
• the public face of the sport is scantily clad men posing and flexing for an audience of cheering men.
• competitors often have erections on stage.
• over the years, posing trunks have become smaller and smaller. Glutes used to be covered up. Now, we have competitors hiking up their trunks and showing off their shredded bums.
• more than once, cocks and balls have popped out of their small trunks and amidst all the cheering (ostensibly over muscle) everyone pretends not to notice.
• the “dark” side of the sport consists of competitors making lusting videos for gay audiences, escorting and/or “private posing” for male fans and judges. Every competitor knows someone who does this but no one ever talks about it because in their mutual fear of discovery lies mutual safety.
• I have seen guys surreptitiously masturbating in the audience during the posedown.
• Who do you think buys all those videos from http://www.repetrope.com/men/ http://musclegallery.com/ http://www.muscleweb.com/ http://www.musclegods.tv/menu.html and all the rest? Women? Um, no.
• the ultimate winner in bodybuilding walks away with the Sandow statuette--the statue of a gay man. Eugene Sandow (long considered to have the perfect proportions of classical Greek and Roman sculpture) dumped his wife and toured the country posing and flexing with his piano playing boyfriend in tow. The two eventually set up house together in NYC. http://www.sandowmuseum.com/sandowlife.html

the before/after pics I agree on, along with the tech

Oh by the way...Size f*cking matters, in everything. Don't believe the hype. Size f*cking matters. Size DOESN'T matter to people who don't have any size, that's why they're like "oh size doesn't matter". SIZE, GIRTH, THICKNESS, EVERYTHING. I'm not even talking about the pros with that comment, although it seems ridiculous when we have guys like Coleman and Cutler talking about diet and training not mentioning the technology they use.
I used to think fitness models were natural because "they're not that big" but when you don't get drug tested and your livelihood is almost entirely based on your aesthetics, why wouldn't you take something?
I don't hate it, I just acknowledge that there's a ton of shady stuff that goes on around it.

Not sure when people got so obsessed to look like swollen homo blueberries. None of this surprises me. Since there are whole homo magazines dedicated to buff dudes (lmao, GL everyone on your homo goals of 2014).
The old pictures of people from the pre-steroid era is where it's at. They look extremely natty too. And a lot of those people were legit fuarking strong, with no dat dere or anything else. Ie. they 100% backed what muscle they had with what they could lift. AKA they would beat the chit out of a lot of the *******s today who lift and are on dat dere.
I lift to keep myself in shape, cut down on some bodyfat and to gain a bit of muscle so I can stay healthy and not be a twig. Not for any of the reasons mentioned above in the article (wot in the actual fuk that is groce, no thx jeff). I want to look like an athlete, not a swollen homo sexor blueberry.
Edit: Nothing wrong with trying to look better and cut down on some bodyfat and build some muscle. But srsly, the whole "bodybuilding" thing has gone way too fuking far. And drives a lot of people to start taking dat dere and to do the absolute craziest chit, it's not healthy. I 1000% agree with the statement about supplements... no one really knows what the fuk is in a lot of that stuff b/c the FDA does not oversee it and/or approve it. Anyone that you think was natty in reality was not. There is basically no such thing as a "pre-steroid" era when its concerning photos.
Btw it's not just the bodybuilding industry but everything including sports/acting/etc
Tech use was so widespread and open in the olympics until they set up the anti-doping commitee for some reason yet people are still breaking those old records year after year
Ben Johnson was caught using copious amounts of drugs yet a few years later a "natty" runner destroys that world records by a ****ing massive margin? yeh good one lol

So bodybuilders are gay cause people fap to them? Ummm... you do realise gay men fap to celebs all the time, yet does this make the celeb gay?
Just about every market available exaggerates the benefits of their goods. Brb anti-ageing miracle formulas that don't work, car commercials that promise status, and alchy commercials that promise an awesome time. While most of it is also bullchit in the fitness industry, you can't say it's only this industry that does it.
Overall you should do it because you like it. Not because you wanna be some *******s wet dream etc. As for the gear usage, same principle in sport. Most pro athletes are on PED's and why wouldn't they be as you said their paycheck relies on being the best. You don't get the sponsorship deals to put you on the cereal box when you come in second.

Oh yeah I totally agree. You have to go back to around 1950 and before to see people that were 100% not on anything shady (most likely). Oh and sports are probably just as bad as the bodybuilding industry. Ho lee fuk, look at all of the massive scandals that have happened just in MLB... now imagine if they did a full scale investigation on the NFL. Just lol, goodbye sweet almost everyone in the NFL.
And chemists get paid HUGE money to come up with new compounds (of course, illegally) for these athletes. That's why this stuff still exists, along with the fact that everyone is doing it so to compete you pretty much have to do it... they can always stay one step ahead of tests because there are thousands upon thousands of isomers to make new stuff with.***poops 5+ times per day crew***

its just like sprinting...it more or less comes down to genetics. everyone raced other kids n **** growing up just like every guy aged 14+ thinks he can bodybuild. but the reality is even with world class coaching/knowledge AND a 100% effective drug program, 99.99999% of people that try do not have the genetics to become pro
