Lots of derp in this thread. OP obviously has pharyngitis. Doubt thrush. Rapid strep isn't gonna change my management much. Do a culture and treat empirically. When I see acute tonsillitis, it's cause it's either really bad or not getting better after conservative therapy (or because some referrers don't know what a PTA looks like and overcall it). You gonna get augmentin or clinda by the time you get to me unless it obviously looks like mono. Yeah it could just be a bad viral tonsillitis, but fukit, I'm giving you abx if you feel that shetty and aren't getting better. Also gonna give you a pred burst. Or you gonna get cut if you got an abscess.

saw different doc at my place today
he thinks its tonsolittis.
got blood work in case mono but since no other sides prob wont be

so he prescribed me this

keep taking the nycasistin mouth stuff
prednisone 20 mg tablet 2 pills daily for 4 days - nervous aboiut this ****
biaxin 500 mg twice a day for 10 days

Prednisone is an immunosuppressant leaving you more susceptible to infections, so might be wise to stay at home as much as you can or at least limit the amount of time you're out in public etc.

Ive lost count of the number of times Ive had tonsillitis and ive only taken the amoxicillin...unless because it didnt kill it off they had to try something else?

after I finished the amoxicillin I felt fine my tonsils still looks a little swollen but I felt good

then 4 days later started up again with the white **** on my tongue and throat scratchy

I suggest you always use protection when you have sex, reason for that is, anything you catch from your partner will flourish in your body because of your immune system. For example if you come in contact with HPV you may develop warts early on. If you're immune system is strong you may never have sides and just be a carrier and maybe even fight off the disease with time.

I suggest you start getting good sleep, eat greens everyday, and stay away from dirty girls lol
