Doesn't get any smoother than Iso-Smooth. A Blue Star Nutraceuticals Review

Huge thank you to Gym_God and Blue Star Nutraceuticals for hooking me up with some iso-smooth! If you guys are unaware of what this company has to offer, I would highly recommend you checking them out! Every product I have tried from this company is a well deserved 10/10! Needless to say, Iso-Smooth does not disappoint either.

I have never been one to make desserts with protein powder, I always just drink a shake. Don't have any recipes.. maybe I should look some up. Have seen some tasty lookin stuff out there! If I end up whipping anything together, I will be sure to update the thread.

Taste: 10/10 I got my hands on some "Vanilla Dream." Easily one of the best tasting vanilla protein powders I have gotten ahold of. I have found vanilla to be a hit or miss flavor, a lot of companies like to make it chalky tasting. Vanilla dream is an accurate name, it is the vanilla of my dreams I always mix my protein with milk, have never (and don't plan on it anytime soon) mixed with water. Vanilla Dream Iso-Smooth gives the milk a nice, rich, vanilla flavoring. Very refreshing!

Mixability: 10/10 I followed the directions on the label, mixed 1 scoop (1 packed scoop measured out to 32 grams) with about 8 ounces of milk. As you can see from the pictures, not a single chunk was seen that day! Mixed perfectly! Didn't foam up like a lot of protein powders do, no chunks, a smooth creamy texture.

Texture: Don't really know how to give a "number rating" to the texture, so I will just describe it. The powder is fine, fluffy, light. Packs in the scooper real nice, and seems to stick to itself quite well (doesn't fall off the scoop when transporting). When mixed up it is a nice creamy and thick viscosity. Not so much "milk shake" thick, more like a whole milk type thickness. I use 1/2% milk, so it is a nice change to drink something that isn't essentially flavored water

Iso-Smooth is a high quality isolate protein blend, made up of four forms of protein: Whey Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Isolate, Egg Isolate, and Micellar Casein. This product is cold processed, which is debatably the most quality efficient form of processing. This isn't a cheap process, but I have found through my experience with Blue Star that they do not skip corners to deliver a quality product.

What stands out to me about this product is that each scoop contains 135 cals, 30 grams of protein, 1 gram of fat, and 1 gram of carbs. Light on the gut, heavy on the muscles! What is the purpose of a protein shake, to hit your protein macros! For me at least.. I am not looking for added fats or carbs when it's time for my shake! Want some of dat der protein!!

Oh lawd in whole milk it would be a straight milk shake.

I'm currently quite hooked on Almond Milk. Its a bit thicker than Skim and gives it a more "creamy" texture.

    Excellent review bro!
