I've been -1 mil deep in red for a week and was still respected miscing was no different at all for me, a week later I'm +3.3 mil and chits still the same. Reps mean nothing, high reps doesn't mean you're a better poster. If I put rep back in my sig I'de be 30k+ reps.

I think it's a great thing. Sure it's open for abuse but so are S&M clubs. It's more of a Twitter-style PM system to me. If someone likes or dislikes a post they can tell you instantly and privately - some of the funniest lines I've yet read on the Misc came through my CP. It keeps people in line and hoses down flaming a bit and it adds a lot to just the to-and-fro of the place.

I dont care about the reps but what bothers me is the negs and the reasons. I got negged once with the reason left " manlet " another time was just "location".

Lol I remember when I first signed up and posted on the misc. Some guy with like 2k rep power negged me with the message "I can turn you red lol". That really rustled me.
