Damn, I hope that gets better quick. My friend had to deal with sciatic pain for years due to back issues. Was awful.
Although I wouldn't say it was an old lady moment. Obviously plenty of us have had those stupid injuries that happen and we have no idea what caused it or it was some simple activity. I'm still trying to figure out what cause my intercostal strain.

It's so weird, we get this stuff not from lifting, but bending over to pick up a penny..
I know that's a pretty popular federation, I need to bust out of 100%RAW. Think my coach is trying to qualify for worlds or something. I'll try to qualify for old farts.
We have pink I see...I'm sure ur fave color.. Don't be a stranger in here LS, I need your dirty humor to keep everybody entertained.
U wizard! That's exactly what I did and it was gone in three days. U know any good chiros here girlie? U ever coming back and showing me around Beaufort? I still haven't been there, think I missed the oyster shucking festival.
U still have it? No way ur pulling 200 with that sh!t! I'm gonna be scaaared next dead day.
Why did this pic in my head make my day?
How many times u find that sweet sweet position to sleep in where a smile comes to ur face and u dream nice dreams of naked hot muscular men and u wake up like a decrepit 90 yr old?
I'm good to go Artie! I knew it will heal pretty quickly because I didn't sit down for 2 days...was afraid it would tighten up.
How weird, I went to my 45th (!!!) reunion a few weeks ago where I was the youngest looking person by a country mile...no brag, keep lifting my friends... a good friend there said she just had back surgery because she had sciatic since she was a child; can't imagine living with that kind of pain! Sadly she went back to the gym and started working out with a trainer and he had her doing kettle bell swings with 25 pounds and she pinched her nerve. Anybody ever seen a decent personal trainer in the gym??Training log:

Pull-ups- 9, 9
Trying to recover from a bad bench session last week, did OK; the Slingshots went well, think I can go to 140 next time. Really suffered on the DB presses, just lost power from the beginning. My coach expects me to start out at max and my body doesn't work that way, I need to pyramid up so starting with the 45s next time. Haven't done svend presses in so long...it's all about that cleavageTraining log:

Glad it healed up quick.
Yeah, my friend who got the sciatic nerve issues in her late 20s had to go for back surgery as well. Unfortunately it didn't help and actually seemed to make it worse. I think she got into doing a bit of yoga and that has been the only thing that has helped her. Shame she didn't give that a try before the surgery.
And no, I have yet to see a decent personal trainer. I know some personal trainers that are decent people...but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone as a personal trainer. Half of them have people doing exercises that don't even make sense...especially someone new to training. And the rest have bodies that looks so incredibly imbalanced.
Oh yeah, have you tried adjusting the angle with the svend presses. I like to do that sometimes...mixes it up a bit.Workout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903

Nice working sets and Slingshot bp! Have you failed any Slingshot reps and do you have a human spotter? I use the safety bars but if I needed to bail on a Slingshot I think I'd have to be really aware to pull my arms all the way down after letting the bar roll off, so my arms don't, well, slingshot up. I haven't failed one yet and so far try to stay away from going to failure on the reps with it.

Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1

Thanks Sophie.
U can't hold the weight either, u have to balance it by squeezing them together for max cleavage.
Yeah, I don't think my friend is any better off either. That's just really very sad. Sciatic is a pain in the ass..
Personal trainers are a joke these days, I seriously think most ppl in the gym laugh at them, well at a good gym anyway.
I aaaam? Donke
Thanks Flo! Got my RSP freebies! It looks pretty good, will give the pre-workout a try tomorrow. Thank u!
Thanks Tiger! I have to get my arse in your new log and make some trouble.
Thank u Simon!
I haven't failed any but I have looked like a total nimbo doing them. Really weird, my first set is always a total fail and then my next set or two is pretty good, not used to it yet I guess. Actually, I feel like a human gum band with it on...that's Pittsburgese for rubber band. I hired a bench coach a few months ago so he's my spotter. I might be able to do a few reps with the slingshot by myself but I certainly can't get it on by myself! How do you get yours on??
What trouble did u cause now?? Did the miscers in the skinny privilege thread run u outta town?
I like it RT but there's a huge learning curve. Get one and try it. I'm all about the gimmicks.
He's back already??? He paid off a mod!
********* I got my iPad back...I felt like I was in prison!!! It kept in this rotation of turning on then shutting down. I was really scared I was going to lose it...and all my SELFIES! I googled the problem and it said you had to do something like 100 times to get it to charge up so I took it to my friend but he was backed up on fixing everybody else's Apple gadgets so I had to wait. Just needed a new charger And face palmTraining log:

My iPad is 3-1/2 years old Sophie, never had a problem until now and I think that was from draining it too low and then a crappy charger. My friend has a six year old iPhone 4 I bought a laptop about a year and a half ago but I can't seem to get on the Internet with it and I far prefer my iPad over that. I freaking love my iPad, just so easy to use.

Squats are finally moving along! Just trying to add weight each week and feel it on my back and then give it a shot is working. My reps in the 110 and 120 range are getting much deeper too. Just crazy it took this long but prob was my head getting in the way as usual. They still aren't easy but conquering it an inch and 5 pounds at a time. I did the shrugs only because I had to wait for someone who was using the one squat rack at the Powerhouse...yeahh ONE! I used to do shrugs like a mad man.

Wasn't a bad benching day. Maintained my 2 reps at 130 after that horrible benching session 2 weeks ago. Do not know why my first set of slingshot is always all over the place, then the second set is so much better. That was some high partials! I mean was about 5" of movement. So strange. I like the rep out set at the end but I was pooped, I could've done much better if that wasn't heavy day.Training log:

Great job.
It is probably because the sling shot is so awkward that it takes a set to get used to it.Workout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903

Good job on the squat PR! Yeah the SS can be awkward. I always start my first set of that at a wt I can rep raw pretty easy just to get into the groove.
Man I had an ipod Classic for I chit you not 7 years, worked perfectly. I accidentally dumped a cooler of ice water on it at work. Managed to do the rice thing and make sure I got all my music into my current itunes as I never really sync it much. It's fukked but I got my lifetime collection of music off of it. Bought an ipod Touch which has been perfect for 3 or 4 years now. I think the key to Apple products is buy something with way more storage than you'll need and it'll run really smooth for a long time. Except for water those devices handle abuse and my general stupidity pretty well lol.Current PRs:
