    Thumbs up 5 Day Water Fast Log

    I'm going to do a 5-day water fast. I feel like I have a lot of small nagging health problems. I'll name a few:

    Sinuses always swollen(makes my face look like ****)
    Redness in eyes
    Eye boogers all the time
    Fatigue
    Random headaches
    Constipation
    Upset Stomach Frequently
    White Tongue

    I know this goes against all bodybuilding rules, and I know it's going to be extremely difficult, but I want to try it just once in my life.

    There are many benefits of water fasting if you do a quick google search.

    I'm going to take pictures of my face for all of these days, and a before and after body shot so you can all see how much muscle/fat I may lose.

    I'm not that concerned with muscle loss because I know it will come back quickly once I start eating again.

    My fast will end on Monday. I will be updating this thread as often as I feel like, but at least a daily update, and will answer any questions you guys have for me.

    Please don't tell me how unhealthy or stupid you think this is. I've read around, and it's something I want to try. If it works, great, if not oh well.

    I haven't eaten in 4 hours, my next meal will be Monday morning. I will be drinking about 1 gallon of distilled water per day. I will not be taking any supplements or medicines to relieve my symptoms, such as aspirin for headaches.

    Sounds kind of interesting but I couldn't imagine going to work/gym everyday and doing this, I feel like I would be totally useless with out some of kind of food in me by day two.

    Too scared that I would lose too much muscle doing that, hoping to minimize loss by lifting.

    I don't understand how water fasting will fix your issues, They sound like diet and psychological issues. Can you explain your reasoning behind it?

    how does water fasting fix anxiety and depression when those are both clearly related to your brain muscle, and the upset stomach, constipation and fatigue are generally due to diet.

    Get a few basic tests like hemoglobin levels. Increase water and fiber intake for constipation, supplement with isabgol husk or some mild laxatives. Look into meditation. Maybe you are already doing all this but just in case you weren't.

    Also curious to see if swollen sinuses can affect facial appearence so post face pics too no homo
