Lots of information in this one, states that "people on a 30-day water fast only lose 1-2 lbs of muscle MAX."

More information here, some of you have used their ACV.

I've gotten nasal steroids for my sinusitis, and use a neti pot regularly. It helps but not 100%. I can actually feel my sinuses pulsating and feel pressure building up (maxillary sinuses). I've kept tabs on what I do before I get that sensation that might trigger it. It seems to happen mostly after meals. That led me to finding a bunch of articles on how diet is linked to sinusitis, and then I eventually came upon the idea of water fasting from that.
Face pic has been taken for tonight.
I actually have a picture of myself with swollen sinuses and then one where it's better(but not 100%), if you'd like to see.

Have never done fasting the way you're going to OP.
But I fast in the ramaddan last summer where I didn't eat or drink from 5am till 10pm every day.
I can tell you its a spiritual kind of experience and will make you psychologically stronger.
Anyway, I have a few tips for you since I have some experience I guess.
1. Do not go to the gym. You want your body to use its energy efficiently since you're not getting any from food. Lifting will honestly do nothing for you.
2. Sleep a lot, take naps etcetera.
3. Don't drink distilled water, I heard there are less minerals. Try just drinking water mixed with juice from a squeezed out lemon. Lemons are good for cleansing your system and have some vitamins in it which you definitely need.
4. I would drink 1 glass of orange juice or any kind of fruit at least. You need to help your body to help you. Get what I'm saying? If your body doesn't get the vitamins it needs it won't be able to properly do its job.
Good luck

Thank you for the tips. I've been reading over the past 20 mins about incorporating lifting with a water fast. Sounds like a bad idea. However, since I still have some food in me from today, I'm going to hit a workout tomorrow. Then I'm not going to hit the gym until Monday.
I'm also going to do a true water fast and have nothing but water. I read that distilled water is better in this case because it binds to toxins better.

My sister did a 10 day water fast and lost like 18lbs. Over time she gained it all back because she went right back to being a fatty, but there was definite results when she did it and she didn't seem to be too weak, nor did she die, so I guess it's all good?
I'd be interested in doing one just for the quick weight loss. The supposed health benefits sound cool too. I wonder how much weaker you will be in the gym when you are finished? I'm subbed, look forward to your results!

Get some minerals and vitamins inside. You'll still feel like crap because your tank is empty, but at least your body will still function for the most part. And it will prevent cramping.

Yeah, I'm not in it for weightloss whatsoever. Only a small amount would be fat anyways.
I'll keep you updated on strength!
I don't expect it to fix my on and off depression or anxiety, but I do believe it has the potential to fix most of the other stuff. Only one way to find out. You realize many, many people have done this before, right? You act as if I'm going to die.
No vitamins, only water.
I'm not doing it because I think for sure it will cure all of that ****. I'm just curious as to what it can cure.

stop the nasal steroids (srs)
they are NOT good for you in the long run and you will rebound hard
My sinuses are FCKED now from years of use, I even had surgery for a Deviated Septum but my Sinuses are always swollen now no matter what.
And all the stuff you listed, you should try Gluten Free lifestyle. Most people are allergic/sensitive to Gluten and don't even know it and have symptoms like you do, not just baaaaaaad ****s/nausea

Thanks for the heads up. I've only used about 1/3 of a prescription thus far.
I've done gluten free for 3 weeks. I admit it made me feel a bit better, but it also could have been just because I feel better in general on lower carbs. It's also unrealistic for me to live gluten free, such a hassle.
Going to bed see you guys later.

Just be careful dude.
"The body cannot differentiate between voluntary fasting and starvation and deaths have occurred even with medically supervised fasts and near-fasts. People who survive prolonged fasts (starvation) may suffer anemia, decreased immunity, osteoporosis, kidney damage, or liver damage. Depressed gastrointestinal or digestive functions may persist for weeks or months [v]."

Bah I have the same exact thing when it comes to eating
I have vasomotor rhinitis
So my vascular urge system in my nose is super sensitive to certain triggers
And even the process of eating (release of. Release of certain chemicals) gives me nasal congestion
Intermittent fasting has helped a lot obviously
I also use nose sprays and take pseudoeohedrine daily
I usually don't have too many sinus symptoms anymore after I cut out most dairy
There could be so many things causing is tbh
Keep on researching
I spent hours upon hours

Didn't expect a thread like this on the misc. I'm on 3rd day of water fasting and I'm going for 10 days .srs.
For people wondering benefits of water fasting:
You put your organs at rest. Basically after 24 hours your digestive track has stopped.
Brain needs glucose to function properly so after you stop eating your body uses the liver, muscle and lastly deep fat tissue.
Benefits of this is that you absence from food or any supplementation lets your body "fix" itself of any problems you have.
Eye sight improves, arthritis, ED, fatigue, depression, addiction etc.
You only get the benefit with water only so any supplement or the tiniest juice you put in your body will not have any of these benefits because your body will convert that into energy and use it instead of your organs.

Water fasting means drinking ONLY water.
Awesome to hear that other people here have done this. Since you've done this before, would you say 5 days is enough time?
Thanks man. Yeah, I'm not worried about muscle loss.
Awesome, how long were they?
Crazy man. I have also spent hours upon hours. There are stretches of a couple weeks to a month where my sinuses don't act up and my face looks great. When my face looks like **** from my sinuses it really pisses me off and makes me depressed because I haven't been able to pin point wtf causes it 100%. Then I go online and look at page after page. I definitely think diet is a factor. I guess I'll find out since I wont be eating food for 5 days.

"So there I am sitting in the waiting area of the hair salon with my niece and Keanu Reeves walks in. I was nervous as ****, but too scared to say anything to him. Then my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I don't want to bother him. Pretty soon he walks over and asks what's wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry. He put down his magazine, picked up my niece, and lifted up his shirt, and breastfed her right there in the salon. Chill guy, really nice about it."
