    Powerblock Pro Hexan Question

I was able to get a set of Pro Hexans for a great price ($175 with a bench) on CList, but he did not have the sheet that says what weight is each. My confusion is coming in that they supposidly only go to 85lbs, but I can't figure out how it can't go to 90lbs... Could someone help me out?

    Handle: 5 lbs
    Adders: 2.5 x2 (total 5 lbs)
    Plates: 10 lbs x8 (total 80 lbs)

    Meaning:
    without adders|with adders:
    0 plates: 05 lbs | 10 lbs
    1 plates: 15 lbs | 20 lbs
    2 plates: 25 lbs | 30 lbs
    3 plates: 35 lbs | 40 lbs
    4 plates: 45 lbs | 50 lbs
    5 plates: 55 lbs | 60 lbs
    6 plates: 65 lbs | 70 lbs
    7 plates: 75 lbs | 80 lbs
    8 plates: 85 lbs | 90 lbs

So my question is, what am I missing? I was trying to use a google doc, but the image is too small for me to figure it out. I only want to know so I can label it properly for myself.

It's Pro Rexan... unless you're buying them from a witch. They go up to 85 lbs. There were aluminum ones that went up to 90 lbs but they are uncommon. Do they have aluminum or white plastic on the sides of the handle (where the adjustment pins insert)?

Sorry, meant Pro Rexan... it is plastic... so if that is the case, what numbers do I have wrong above? I can't figure out the extra 5 lbs I always get, unless of course the handle is 0 lbs, which it is not...

I added printable images of the weight charts in my prior post. Here's the description from 2001 internet archive of www.powerblock.com

The Pro Rexan 5-45 x 5 lbs base set comes with plates 1-4, and adjusts in 5 or 10 lb increments. The Rexan handle weighs approximately 5 lbs without the chrome adder weights in the handle. This set is expandable using the add-on kits. The 40 lb add-on kit, plates 5-8, would take the set from a maximum weight of 45 to 85 lbs in each hand.
The Big Block Kit, plates 5-11, would take the set from a maximum weight of 45 to 125 lbs in each hand.

So basically this is all thrown out of whack because of plate 3, which is only 7.5 lbs instead of 10 like all the rest!

    # of plates, 0 adder, 1 adder, 2 adders
    0 5.0 7.5 10.0
    1 15.0 17.5 20.0
    2 25.0 27.5 30.0
    3 32.5 35.0 37.5
    4 40.0 42.5 45.0
    5 50.0 52.5 55.0
    6 60.0 62.5 65.0
    7 70.0 72.5 75.0
    8 80.0 82.5 85.0

Thanks for figuring out those numbers @wickedathletes. I just bought a used set, and was confused about how to get the right weights.

I took your numbers and created a cheat sheet (in pounds); suitable for taping down over the numbers on your Pro Rexan stand.

Also bought a used aluminum pro. I weighed each block with a kitchen scale. The adder weights are 2.337lb (1kg) and the handle weighs 8.926lb (4kg).

Note, I checked the scale with 5lb and 10lb change plates. So I was a bit surprised regarding the actual weights of the powerblocks vs their advertised weight.

I know this is an extremely old thread but im trying to find information on the aluminum handled Power blocks that go from 5 to 125.
Im trying to track down the selector pin for the 100-125 add kit. i bought them used quite a long time ago and currently power block doesnt seem to be willing to answer emails.

    Thanks.
