Plain and simple, you are loose. if the knees push forward at all, even in the hole, the chest drops. There is also a panic mode, you had the weight going but, once you felt it roll, you dumped it. There is only one wya to learn to grind and that's to do it. It is an acquired skill and an art. You have to dig in. the looseness is causing the issue.

I had 505 on the brain and have no idea why. I woke up at midnight and couldn't' go back to sleep until about 2 or so. It was not ideal. Going to the clean grip has helped and it's been a process and while it's not my biggest front squat ever, my best ever was 535 with misses at 555 and 565. I had crossed arms and I never feel like I was as upright or as locked in as I do with the clean grip. It was nice to have it go finally after all this time. When I stood up, I knew I wasn't right in the middle and had to let it settle back on the heels and balance it. To be at this point in my career and hit 30 under my all time best, I'll take it.

I was stiff and tired. Last week was a big lifting week, stressful work week and I have 2 girls lifting at the pro/am in 2 weeks cutting, that's a joy..then Missy the weekend after, that's a joy as well...it all caught up this weekend. We went, most of the training group to a brunch and day drank...i was worthless the rest of the day and my back is still fkd from Friday.

I didn't get to do much this morning so, no training news
but, I got shipping confirmation on the new 2.5 kg bumpers. I got them from CFF via Werksan. These are the plates that are the size of a bumper, you can drop them if need be and weigh only 2.5kg and they are also IWF approved. Doesn't seem like a big deal but, for our little place, this is a big addition.
As the house addition gets done, we also have another 1 ton ductless unit to add to the gym which will give us 3 units.
These are just little triumphs for us as when i started, having bumpers period was a blessing and when I added turbo fans versus box fans, we felt like we had arrived.Squat: 1,040

There is a reason why I haven't. I rented the house for about 5 years. I started looking and that is a huge pain in the ass. The owner, who is a great great friend of mine, offered to sell it and made me a deal I couldn't refuse. Part of the deal was the addition and the rest is history. I have put my whole life in that house and little gym.
