Pull up the link and watch the video of Terry Bradshaw talking about Phil Robertson from their college days. Pretty amazing to me.

There's a picture floating around the Internet that shows that the whole beard-and-lumberjack shirt/overalls look is a sham. I can't remember the link, but Google is your friend. Apparently, the brothers are all clean shaven (save one who has a trim goatee) and wear regular clothes. Haven't watched the show, don't intend to, but the network is the one making money and I wouldn't be surprised if they knew about Robertson's leanings from Day One and did the for the publicity. What a joke...and it's on the public.

I don't know about all that. I have been an avid waterfowl hunter for 30 years, as long as I can remember Phil and the boys have been sporting the look they have now. Duck call manufactures don't get rich selling duck calls. I hope they are being smart with their new found fame and expanded fortunes because it won't last. I don't watch the show and frankly I was never a fan of their hunting videos or duck calls. I will admit I have their "Green Dynamite" call on my lanyard, its a nice finishing call.

I read the book put out by Willie and Korie called "Duck Commander Family". Very interesting. Goes from their childhood up until now and also includes the info on Phil playing football. They have numerous photos in the book from family vacations on the Gulf Coast which is where the picture above is from. I also have Mrs. Kay's cookbook which shows when they all started growing their beards and of course more recent ones.
The book was an excellent read as it told about how Willie was always trying to earn money when he was younger. Such the little business man. Jase just wanted to fish and hunt Tells about Phil being a party man and drinking all the time and how he hit rock bottom in his family life before he found the Lord.
IMO the Duck Commander brand is going to make it. Duck Dynasty is A&E's brand. Numbers showed they grossed over $400,000,000 in sales last year. I don't think they give a rats ass is A&E dumps the entire Duck Dynasty line or show.**DIRTYSOUTHCREW**

Have seen Phil for almost 20 years now and then. He looks and dresses the same now as then. You wouldn't know it from listening to him on tv, but he's pretty close to a genius. As long as his family is fed, clothed, and has a roof over their heads, money means nothing to him. Willie is the marketing man. The only thing that's changed (besides their bank accounts) is that they had to put a security gate at their homes. When the ladies leave home, bodyguards follow them and wait in the parking lot of wherever they go, unless it's a crowd, and then they go in with them.
