'Pro' Bowl????

I find your insensitive anti-bowl attitude as frankly quite offensive. Everyone should be pro-bowl and the world would be a better place. I know what you are saying, you shouldn't have bowls shoved in your face, the bowls are always on the table in T.V. and movie shows, bowls are in a lot more advertising, I bet a family member suddenly showed up with a bowl. I get it man, I really do. But the world is changing and you can't be anti bowl forever. What about spoons? Do you hate them too? They are just little bowls with a long handle for leverage, what about the other concaves? Did you know that eyeglasses can also be concave? They are made that way, they didn't have a choice. You need to dial it back or at least keep your anti-bowl talk to yourself.

We have a pair of "expecting" bald eagles nesting about 4 miles from my house. Momma laid 3 eggs this year and the first hatched today. Our local university has a live eagle cam on the nest. Scroll down to the bottom of the story.

ETSU has a eagle cam ******** page with video of the first eaglet hatching.


The nest must be huge to hold two eagles covering three eggs the size of tennis balls.

So, I’m still writing and have received a few rejections and read an article today that you should strive as a goal, to receive 100 rejections. Reason being, you’ll just keep getting better, the more you’re rejected. I’m not offended, it’s hard to get into these publications as an emerging writer.

Are bald eagles becoming extinct?

Not sure how accurate, but my google internet search found that a couple of hundred years ago there may have been 300,000 to 500,000 bald eagles in North America.

In the 1950's there were possibly less than 1000.

Their numbers have since risen to about 70,000 in all of North America.

About 30,000 in the lower 48 states.

Bald eagles are fairly common in my state. They are found most frequently around the TVA lakes.

3 or 4 years back there was a pair nesting practically in downtown Sevierville, Tn. down amongst the mega traffic going to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. They had a nice spread in a tree up behind the Walmart. SRS

Must have been digging that rollback pricing.

That was the worst bit of 'news' I heard all week. Makes me sick and mad. The flight attendant could have been humane and suggested a seat in the back with the puppy and given her some water and maybe some treats to calm it down - instead of giving it a death sentence. I cannot handle animal cruelty very well.

How does any kind of gun control change human behavior at any age? While I have empathy and admire the high school kids in Florida for their demands, in my opinion, they are being misled by anti-gun activists into believing banning AR-15s and raising the age to 21 to buy a gun will prevent shootings. The high schoolers who believe in the 2nd amendment and who are not participating in the walk-outs are not being heard and are not being interviewed by the press, by design.
