    High blood pressure from C4.

Had high blood pressure at doctor check up. 140 which is hypertension.

I told him I was taking one scoop of c4 daily. I explained the main ingredients. He told me to stop taking because most ingredients are not FDA approved. When the are examined they are usually banned.

So I gave my c4 to one of my less fortunate gym friends who can't afford it he was ecstatic.

I went to the doctors a week later my blood pressure dropped to 115.

    Coincidence or evidence??

Don't get me wrong I love C4 and I switched to it from jacked 3d micro. C4 was way better.

    Any other experiences?

All the stimulants increase heart rate and can exaggerate underlying conditions. It was unlikely the c4 'caused' your high blood pressure

    Correlation does not equal Causation.
Anecdotal evidence is hardly valid from a research standpoint.

All of this aside I do believe that it should hold some weight.
If you were recommended by a medical professional to discontinue use of the product than I would follow that advice and see how things go.

Thanks for all you input guys

I took the C4 the day before.

I discontinued C4 and continued creatine multivitamin casien and whey.

I've heard sometimes your blood pressure is high due to you being anxious at the doctor.

But i was only there for shoulder inflamation so I wasn't anxious at all.

Could've been error on the nurse as well

Consider switching to a non-stimmed PWO if this is the situation.
Lots of great options and you can at least still help stimulate that pump in the gym without having the increase heart rate/bp.

    Both of these are correct
Pre-workouts can raise your blood pressure overall, 115 is still pretty high for a normal state, does your family have a history of HBP? Or are you just an outcast in the family regarding the issue?

Are you very stressed by nature?
Taking your doctor visit first thing in the morning may also be a reason because coritsol is highest and at its peak which could raise blood pressure as well (some things to consider)

If you wanted to venture the non-stim pre-workout
Hemavol has a serious formula including CM, Norvaline, Glycerol which will leave for a massive pump.

    I don't think you'll find a better non-stimmed workout out there.
Just read the reviews in the store and look at it's history. It really speaks for itself.

On top of this keep up with your medical professional on a consistent basis to monitor your BP and see if things balance out.
If so than just monitor your stimulant intake and you should be good to go brother.

Just read the reviews in the store and look at it's history. It really speaks for itself.

On top of this keep up with your medical professional on a consistent basis to monitor your BP and see if things balance out.
If so than just monitor your stimulant intake and you should be good to go brother.
Ok thanks I'm going to order some tonight.

Sorry if that was basic knowledge. I am not very educated on pre-workouts and other supplements. I just take what the guys at the gym tell me but seems like you guys know your ****.

Let's see how fast we can do some bad form deadlifts. I know the perfect place it's called Crossfit.

Stress and Coritol levels can raise blood pressure, which is why yours may be high or elevated, adding in a pre-workout will also raise it a bit too (remember that)

if HBP does run in the family (which it may) then yes this would be a reason you need to be very cautious on what you consume and put into your body to prevent your health from flaring up in general.

Don't worry about it man, we all started off somewhere.
You did the write thing though seeking advice out here as opposed to the guys at the gym.

Odds are 99% are clueless as to even the most basic aspects of nutrition/supplementation and have no idea what they're even recommending to you.
Especially with your current condition you do need to be very weary of what products/ingredients you're putting in your system.

Thats why it gets a lot of good reputation and feedback and winner of pre-workout of the year to boot.
Please take care of your health which is priority and if the doctor gives you the OK Then put the c4 back into the stack. For now lay low and keep the BP Down.

Exclamation I am having the same problem.

Not a bodybuilder, but a female grocery clerk at Publix, so I work out a bit throwing pallets and the like. I usually have a two C4s a day.

This happened today: I calculated the mg of caffeine for 3mg/kg to be on the safe side and it was 245. I drank two 16oz within an hour and a half.

I got a headache shortly after and decided to check my blood pressure for the first time in forever (I used to be a nurse and have always had typical BP) since this has been happening more often recently. My first measurement was 150/132... now it’s 145/105 after some breathing exercises and meditation. I’m kind of concerned to be honest. I have never had a reading over 100 on the bottom, ever.

Why are you drinking 2 back to back?

There are many aspects that affect BP, I would consider committing to getting better sleep as a starter.
