Have you ever considered shipping these across country by Greyhound? I seem to recall them having pretty decent rates. It looks like the largest item they will handle is 84" That seems like it could be good for some of us who cant get a 90" rack in our basements...

It looks to be 100 lbs per package, but you can have up to five packages for a max of 500lbs or something. Can't say I totally understand it.Originally Posted by morebarbell

No, didn't look into that. I have shipped with other carriers. The 84" limit would be a problem since I've only had one request for a rack that short up till now (out of close to 30). Most people want between 84 and 96".

Mech6, whenever I see pictures of your custom work, I think of Dynatorch Super B low-cost plasma CNC. It comes in sizes 4x4, 4x8 and 5x10.

J-hooks for 2x3. These will have thick plastic in front, thin plastic in back to protect upright.

Building a monstrosity of a rack. 3 post 3x3 7gauge with 10,000 attachments. Going to weigh a ton.
From left to right
1.3" chinup bar
2.4" chinup bar
1.9"/1.3" monkey chinup bar
top cross-member with 1.9" fat bar
bottom cross-member for no-bolting to floor

Well we already have 2x normal chinup bars, and 2x fat (2") bars, so he wanted something different. It's 2.38". It's welded, doesn't move. I tried it, it's not that bad.Originally Posted by Synthetickiller

I have short (80") 2x2 rack to build as well. If it was just narrower, I could of put it inside the big one. Would make a nice photo
