Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

Mech6,
It looks like the cables for the functional trainer arms starts at the top of the frame, go down through a pulley on the top of the weight stack, and then back up through the arms. It also looks like you extend those cables all the way from the ends of the arms back to the base, and then up for the pull down.
If I'm following the cable trail correctly, why wouldn't you simply have that starting end at the top go to the pull down instead of being fixed in place?

That makes sense. I couldn't tell that it the cable would have to change paths to get behind that upper pulley. Looking at it, I can also see that routing that cable end forward and down would block the stack.
You do very nice design and build. Is there a thread that describes your equipment? Plasma cutter, Laser cutter, mills/drills etc? Or is it hidden in the 104 pages of this thread maybe?

So, clearing out a few more personal projects little by little. This one is a fat pad for the frame I welded many months ago and has been sitting there, waiting.
1-1/2" plywood, 2" rebond, 1" closed cell neoprene
If I really like it I'll probably spring for a thomson fat pad, but right now this will work fine to evaluate.
And just enough foam and vinyl left over to make the knee pad for the inverse curl I'm putting back in the garage. That should be this weekend.

Bench looks nice. Takes some getting used to but stick with it and it becomes natural. These days I still view the 14" pad as a luxury and 12" as my minimum but I'm really happy with it and haven't looked back. Now that I think about it...I haven't had any shoulder issues or really needed much prehab/cuff work since moving to the Fatpad.

I've started my receiver unit for the eventual thigh pads (and then chest support... and whatever else I can use it for).
Spray painted, I'm not going to bother powder coating any of this. I did find a basically exact match to the colour however.
Also using whatever pop pins I had lying around. Again, not much invested in this, just need to get it done once and for all.
Tube is 2x2 nestable tube. Same stuff as on mcmaster.com. Will accept a 1-3/4"x1-3/4" insert. I have a lot of telespar lying around, so I'll use that for now. Has 7/16" holes however, so I had to machine down one of the pop pins from the original 1/2".

Yes. The problem was behind the knees and so I've made this new pad much thicker than the old one (which was very firm). We'll see it if changes anything. Otherwise I'll sell it. Also I've gone as far as I can on GHR without it becoming a hassle. I have the back of the machine up over 18" or I'm holding a plate to my chest. It's getting unwieldly so it's time to change for a while. A nice med ball would be better, but I don't have one heavy enough.

Roller pads done. They need vinyl covers eventually. Also, I'll use a bench for now but I need to make a drop-in seat since I have the bottom receiver ready for that. Then maybe I'll have the roller pads as part of the seat if I can store it somewhere. Lol, never ends.

Doubtful, those are way more involved and I'd have to run a batch of j-cups on the press. And I really don't want (or have time) to deal with more j-cups, lol. The threading of all those holes, in 3/8" thick after laser cutting (so they have to be drilled out) makes it a nightmare. Since the steel hardens around the laser cut hole and if your drill isn't perfect, it will never go through, then it work hardens even more, then it never ****ing drills and you have to do a whole circus precedure for the one hole. So then you think "hey just use a carbide drill". But then it jams and you forget it's carbide (because you're on hole #120) and you reverse it. So it explodes and you're out $40.
Just too much hassle honestly.▪█──█▪ Equipment Crew #61 ▪█──█▪

I really liked mine. I kid you not, a guy actually texted me last week about them trying to buy those Mech strap brackets from me. Lol. I sold the rack a while back, but used them for a solid 1-2 years with no complaints. They angle a bit with weight on them, but it was never an issue. I really like this design (Sorinex style) better than the current Rogue Monster design I have. The notch in the Rogue Monster retaining pin seem like overkill and just make adjusting them a little clunky. If you start making them again, I'll message my buddy in Houston. He wants a pair pretty bad. I sold him your monolifts once I 'upgraded' to the Rogue Monster rack (with your keyhole monolifts!).
Those keyhole monolifts are phenomenal, by the way. I feel like they're worth more than my rack. Lol.Equipment Crew #68, Ivanko Crew #47, Rogue Barbell Club #7, Mech6 Crew #30
