for medicine... if you mean going to grad school for medicine with an undegrad in engineering, it would be very difficult

Med schools/ grad schools like to see high GPAs. Engineering majors have some of the lowest average GPAs.. like a 3.0+ is very good. This is why few engineering companies use GPA for much more than reducing potential applicants

But you could always major in chemical or biomedical engineering... both are very tough, but they are crucial to the medical field. Chemical also has many other applications if you decided you didnt like that.

Anyways Repping everyone ITT that I haven't already if class gets canceled for snow tomorrow... have a research critique due and I have no idea what was wrong with it and I'm going to get shredded in front of everyone tomorrow.

I was at one time holding out hope that an ice storm would hit College Station, TX and get rid of our finals (only happened once in the four years I have been here). I didn't think they would be rescheduled but another school in the system closed down for finals and they got pushed back a week so that would suck.

Two finals tomorrow and I'm done, level of care = 0

Normally I'd want to get something like finals over with but I have 4 projects due between Tuesday and Thursday pushing back that critique would be so clutch

We're supposed to get 3-6 inches of accumulation but UMD almost never closes unless its something like a hurricane

Also mind=blown ice storm in Texas

I'm still in the process of deciding to go to the school I can afford (without taking loans(aka no debt)) and undergrading in Physics because that's all they have or going somewhere I can't afford and undergrading in Engineering. I'm 24 so it's gotta be the right choice. Oh darn it

Question: If 2 nodes have no components in between them, can I treat both nodes as a single node when doing nodal analysis? (circuits) lol I always mess this up.

Lucky bastards. Even if it hits -40C and snows 50cm, no snow day here. Happens too often so they expect us to deal with it.

I'm halfway through 5th year right now and I've had a only 2 snow days that i can remember. One in university and one when I was in high school.

Yeah, Corpus makes a lot, but it's more for people with families.

yes, i went back to school at 25. went away to school. and yes i took out some loans. i did get GI bill, but i needed more cuz i had a kid and that pretty much covered child care.

and my wife and I both went to school, she had her AA already tho.

Did you pay those loans off already or are you still working on it? Did you go full time to school? So you didn't work while going to school? I'm trying to figure out my whole situation right now

I'm 3 months into my first job at a electric utility company as a controls engineer. Graduated with a B.S. ChE this past May. So far so good.

still paying on those loans. Yes, I went to school full-time. My wife and I got a job through the university, working for the apartments. Didn't pay much, but hrs were flexible, and rent was free, so that helped out a lot.
