    16 and only 65kg

    Hi there,

Okay so basically, im really skinny (182cm and 65kg) and have been wanting to gain some weight for a while now but never really motivated myself to do something about it. Over the past 2 months i have put on 5 kg by eating 3000+ calories everyday, i also do rowing which occurs 6 times a week and is very demanding. So here is my question, if i keep eating health amounts of calories every day and maybe take protein, is their much need to go gym if i already do rowing?

Depends what you want to achieve... If you want to look like a bodybuilder then yes, you need the gym. If you just want to be lean and in "shape" then you seem to be doing fine at the moment.

As stated above, it looks like you're already increasing in weight by doing what you're doing. If you're looking to be bigger (muscle-wise), then you need to weight train as well.

If you just want to put on weight in general (not caring about how much is muscle, or how much is fat), then just keep on what you're doing now.
