SOF Studios released their first Pre-Alpha WIP image since the launch of our Kickstarter. Together with our Private Forums backers we chose the above image to share and update those following our progress.

Our release was picked up by news media outlets around the world and also featured in an article by Polygon this morning.

• Being made by Creative Director of S1 and S2 (David Sears)
• Victory Dancing

• Lobby System (Voice and Text Chat Included)

• NO Health Regeneration

• Push to talk will be a decision based on community feedback
• Ranking system similar to SOCOM 2
• Confirmed modes so far will be demolition, suppression, escort, and breach under different names

Holy hell I cannot waitttttttt gaming hasnt been sh*t at all since Socom 2 for me. Nothing ever came close to that game for me. Notasinglefuk was given about graphics I miss that gameplay.

Doesn't seem like this is going to happen. Their kickstarter goal was $2million to be able to put it on PS4. They pretty much stalled at $250k. So the only other hope is to get picked up by a publisher and with a screenshot like that, this thing would be a low budget f2p game at best. Even the $2million goal is low budget..

PS4 confirmed months back during the kickstarter. Kickstarter has been over. Btw, they exceeded the kickstarter goal.

Its 200k not 2mil. Kickstarter = jump start. 2mil is easily attainable once they have a VC.

Do they have a VC? I haven't seen anything to suggest they have funding. 2 mil is not easy, it's just not as hard. They still need to put out a demo and show it to investors. They haven't done that yet. And based on this image what makes you think they will even get them? Nostalgia aside. I was a huge socom 2 fan as well and would love this but like i said: doesn't seem like it's gonna happen

Not yet, you should follow them more closely at their website. www.sofstudios.com. They need to make a playable demo to present first before attempting to get funds. If you're so sure, next time, put your money where your mouth is. I like free money.

Kickstarter, like its name stated, is just money to help jump start the project. Its like me wanting to build a race car but I need money to buy an engine.

Nothing is confirmed but I can guarantee they will get the funding. Thats where my bet is stemming from. I can guarantee you will see this on the PS4.

I'm with vag. I loved socom growing up up but now days the way people play video games it will be a snoozefest of people abusing 3rdperson camera angles. At the same time though the world doesn't need another fps. I wouldn't even want to play socom in first person

Yeah I hear Ya. Even though it's annoying you can do it too so it's not like it's unfair. The game was always so fast paced you never had time to camera camp anyways.
