WHY IS H-HOUR SOCOM? This is why:
• PS4 Confirmed
• Being made by Creative Director of S1 and S2 (David Sears)
• Victory Dancing
• Custom Taunting
• Lobby System (Voice and Text Chat Included)
• Classic Server list view
• Custom Lobby Rooms
• NO Health Regeneration
• Opening doors, triggering explosives, shooting out lights (intended)
• Select Fire
• Backblast (AT4s - just like SOCOM)
• Private Rooms
• Guns Hot
• Strafing Gunfights (community decides, David Sears enjoyed them)
• Prone Dive (David Sears likes the idea, could be added)
• Grenade Arc
• Clan System (clan management and support)
• Clan Page, clan emails
• U.S Special Forces VS. Terrorist
• Female voice HQ (like in original SOCOMs)
• NO VEHICLES
• Leaning (D-pad lean like old SOCOMs)
• Third person view default (first person view option)
• No OTS, view will be like old school SOCOM
• No Sprint (Analog stick will determine speed like old SOCOMs)
• Maps designed around one game mode
• Round based is primary focus (respawns can be made like old SOCOMs)
• Jump to climb (will be put in if community wants it)
• Game speed will be like SOCOM 1 and SOCOM 2 (action is more important than animation)
• Online 8v8 with Spectator mode
• urban maps, rural maps, desert maps, arctic maps, jungle maps
• NOT a simulator (which means it will play more like SOCOM)
• Push to talk will be a decision based on community feedback
• Ranking system similar to SOCOM 2
• Confirmed modes so far will be demolition, suppression, escort, and breach under different names

Would be interested if it was first person.
Third person is stupid for this kind of game.
brb peaking around corners with the camera without even exposing your body
but who was realistic tactical gameplay
That's why the Ghost Recon series was always better.

Not yet, you should follow them more closely at their website. www.sofstudios.com. They need to make a playable demo to present first before attempting to get funds. If you're so sure, next time, put your money where your mouth is. I like free money.

Yes I played and loved the original Socoms. But, it costs money to make a game of Socoms magnitude and it costs more money now than it did back on the PS2. What is a 200k kick starter going to accomplish . That is chump change compared to what they need . Do they have additional investors ? What will the graphics be like? This game needs to appeal to more than the die hard socom fans . I don't see how that will work with PS2 graphics in 2014

Nothing is confirmed but I can guarantee they will get the funding. Thats where my bet is stemming from. I can guarantee you will see this on the PS4.

I always abused the third person view back in socom1-2 days. Thats the whole appeal of it which gave the intense feeling. Corners were scary to go around in especially in frostfire going underground. Thats where teamwork comes into play.
I was always conscious of where I was going and was always hogging walls like a mofo. Always traveled in two's unless I was the last man alive.
