Hmm, interested in coming to the meet but how is the equipment there?
Trained at my old gym for a few sessions (uni gym closed) and it's bloody awful. Every bar was at least slightly bent and the benches were crap. I've gotten too used to good equipment now that I can't use crappy equipment without feeling weaker/in a worse position/etc.
I would be doing 5+ bench day if I do come though.202.5/135/245. Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165241801.

Well by equipment I only really care for bar and bench. A lot of bodybuilding gyms like that will invest a lot into good machines but then have crap bars, benches, racks etc.
Hooly, you should know that the difference between good and bad equipment does matter. Considering I'm always going for rep PRs on 5/3/1, just one fewer rep is difference between PR and not so, so I do care.
Anyway, can someone PM/post specific details of when it's happening.202.5/135/245. Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165241801.

It's an odd one imo.. stretch it anteriorly but it is one of the first buggers to jump in and take over the load when the rest of the anterior chain is weak.. and happily supports all posterior movements which is bad news for me and most lifters. feels just like low back pain i guess.. nothing really to compare it to. Can be sharp as hell though, and for me, that sharpness blew out to kidneys and my balls on some days.. but the general pain (all day erryday, not sharp aggrevating pain) just feels like a super tight, painful knot just above the SI joint/s.
The cure for me was strengthening glutes and abs.. no amount of stretching does my hip flexors any good.. and i can just about get into an average lunge position now.

1. Jason Blaha got sued by Layne Norton because he said he wasn't natty. Now he's saying others are not natty. Didn't he make a new channel because of that?
2. How does he look pretty crap for someone who is taking drugs and is quite strong?202.5/135/245. Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165241801.

I understand completely what xyz means about poor equipment. The BB bench station at my gym is ridiculously low to the ground which means I get thrown completely when I bench at other gyms with "normal" bench heights and I have to change my set-up completely. Similarly, when it comes to DB shoulder press, different benches can throw me completely as some eliminate leg drive and some are wobbly etc.
But at the end of the day, it's just one session so IDGAF.Misc Number 1. Boxing Analyst and Pundit

As long as the bars and bench are decent then it should be okay. It's only when you're training with bent bars and **** that it gets silly. Gym I trained at past week is like that. More of a hardcore bodybuilding gym with some great machines (ton of machines) but crap if you wanted to do any powerlifting.

Also, lost it at the idea of awg turning up to the uk meet and just sparring with everyone in the middle of the tube whilst blaring his chitty heavy metal music and chewing on his signature lollipop that looks like his teeth in photos.
