Agreed 100%.
I played for about an hour last night before getting fed up -- so many people in the instance you could barely even complete quest objectives because of the server lag.
Too bad there isn't a "remove everyone from my instance and make this a single player game that only turns multiplayer when I want other people to jump in" mode. Not to mention people running, jumping around, and randomly screaming break any immersion that had been established.
Definitely looking forward to Wildstar and EQ Next... and then whatever single player thing Bethesda comes up with for TES (which we probably won't see until 2017 or later)...the crew that poop poop poops crews crew

Not sure how you can judge combat before you're even level 5.
In what MMO is combat some amazing thing in the beginning?
Not saying ESO will be amazing or anything but I have to lol @ people basing their judgement on levels 1-5.
I have to admit I have a slight concern on how the end-game will work with just 6 abilities but we'll see, outside of that though I am currently level 8 and there have been two single-player fights that felt like raid fights that actually required a bit of strategy and the fights lasted a good 10 minutes to drop the boss.
Wish the screenshots didnt have the email waterstamp on them (brilliant by them) otherwise I'd post it, but I can write a detailed review of my experience and thoughts at the end of the weekend if you guys want.Last edited by Dave P; 11-23-2013 at 09:36 AM.

Anyone wanna play im a dragon knight lvl 2 aldmeri dominion (altho I don't think that matters)
Pm me ur name
Glad I started today, lots of people on but no issues with lag, crashing, glitching etc so far obv lvl 2 but ive made like 4 chars so ive been in the game for atleast an hour or so. But yah people bitching about the game sucking at lvl 5 are naive, this is the worst part of the game when everythings slow, your chars suck etc. I'm not making any judgements until Im atleast like 12-15 or have 3-4 skills and test them extensively. Even then I'll probably remake a sorc after.
Will be hard to really judge the game for me because the biggest thing drawing me in is the big alliance wars and sieging around cyrodil and Idk if I'mma get to that in beta but 2 full days should give me enough time. Seems most people are just hating on it because they don't really enjoy MMOs anymore. I'm the same way but Im not gonna tell everyone the game blows just because Im not having fun.Last edited by kfx450r; 11-23-2013 at 10:01 AM.

It would be great to read a review from some one who knows and understands the difference between beta testing and an MMO that has been out for 10 years. Of course it is going to be laggy and glitchy...that is the point of a beta test. To work out the bugs and see how it handles the mass of players. Anyways, a review would be appreciated.

Played for a few hours, haven't felt the "MMO experience" at all, just been questing alone. Nothing special yet just all the normal type questing that any other MMO has.

This is NOT the final game. This is just a chance to stress test the servers and get people reporting a few bugs. Yes right now it's just Skyrim online. I don't like how other people open chest and it will be empty. I do like that enemies that spawn from my quest can be attacked by other players. Sometimes I need the help. I like the game so far. More will be included in the final release I'm sure. Guilds, all that chit. I'm sure you'll be able to have clan houses where you can add furniture or stores where you can smith items and sell them to other players. The game is gonna be awesome. This is a beta test. Did anyone of you play the Arma 3 Alpha/Beta? The full game is much different. Much better.
Life sucks...get a helmet.

Lol some of you brahs just need to let go and accept that the game might just suck. Just because you desperately WANT the game to fulfill your dreams of an Elder Scrolls MMO doesn't mean that it's going to live up to those dreams in reality.
Yes it's a stress test. Yes it's in beta. Yes you're low levels. So the future could change.
BUT can you honestly say that in its current state the game is at all worth investing time/money into? Not for me.11B, NASM CPT, CFL1

This x1000.
I always laugh at people who use the "it's beta" excuse. The game is slated for release in 3-6 months, they can't possibly make any major changes without delaying the game even further, which is highly doubtful. The game you're playing right now is basically the game that's going to be released; it will be more polished, less bugs, etc., but all of the core mechanics/game play will remain the same. The combat in this game right now is atrocious, and it's not going to change by the time it releases.
The graphics are great, but this game is going to die a quick death with its current combat system. The combat in place now might work for a single player game, but it won't work for an MMO. Also, only a handful of abilities? Strong dumbing down for consoles.Carpe diem

Well I planned on getting a 17 for all three factions this weekend, but I'm already really bored. Leveling is just so boring. It just doesn't match my definition of a good MMO; the combat is so floaty (it doesn't feel like you're actually hitting anything) and it's too solo friendly.
PVP is a straight ripoff of DAOC and GW2. Zergy and gets old fast.
Wildstar, Star Citizen or EQ next...please save me.

Guy above you described it well from what ive seen aside from pvp, Im only 5 but leveling is really slow and everyone ive seen just goes with the quests and you quickly get to quests way beyond your level and the monsters start owning you. The outlying areas are pretty scarce in terms of monsters and grinding is pretty boring because the combat feels squishy, rarely know when your hitting except when you see their hp bar drop, and the hit boxes are kinda glitchy I get hit when monster is on the side of me or something facing away.
Im kinda regretting making a dragon knight with a 2 hander, my defensive abilities feel like there doing nothing and unless I block after every attack I feel like I get hit 1-2 times which is annoying so Im wanting to remake an archer or sorc, but it took me hours to get to 5 which was annoying.
Probably going to bite the bullet and just go with a nightblade shadow archer, I feel like theres alot of options though, like you can make an earthen or draconic dragonknight (defensive spec for the most part) that has a few aoes and ranged spells then use a bow. I was gonna go with a 2 hander and tank specced dragonknight but it doesn't seem like enough, the whole spiked armor skill doesnt seem to be helping much..
One big thing thats annoying is in conjunction with leveling being extremely slow, your stuck with like 2 skills (aside from your weapon skills) till like level 20 from 4....and some of the class skills are kinda retarded when u consider using them almost exclusively for 16 levels....from what ive played so far, the 2.5 second invis nightblade gets seems like it would be pointless and unneeded until pvp or instances or something.
Just my opinions, others may disagree but this is what ive noticed so far, would not want to do pvps or instances against bosses with a melee weapon at all, if I remake it'll be a sorc but at this point the time needed to get to like 10 for example is so long Im prob not, since the chars are gonna get wiped and I may not get invited to next beta I dont wanna spend all night and tomorrow getting there.Last edited by kfx450r; 11-23-2013 at 03:34 PM.

lol @ people complaining about how this is **** and nothing compared to Vanilla WoW.
Ever consider that youve grown out of MMOs by now? Everyone bitches about MMOs these days and always refer back to the greatness of vanilla WoW
it's nostalgia you ****s. you're never gonna get into a game like this ever again. youve grown out of it. sick of hearing "omg this game ****ing sucks" after you've played the first day of a closed weekend beta. youre all gonna bitch about star citizen as well. the majority of people ITT are over 20 yrs old. time to move on because obviously your MMO/video gaming days are over
yes slightly rustled, i'd much rather see a well written review than people complaining and uninstalling it after 5 minutes of gameplayLast edited by Herr13; 11-23-2013 at 05:41 PM.

I uninstalled it after 1 hour of gameplay.
Wtf do you want a review for? It's as generic as you can imagine. Character creation screen is the best part of the game. But it being BETA makes it too sloppy to even write a review. Movement sucks, combat blows, all of this we have no clue if it'll stay or not. Area looks good if you can play on high settings, but it feels single player to me. I wasn't in the mood to log in and run quests just to access the "MMO" part.
This game is about as MMO as Skyrim was... Single player with global chat. If it doesn't hold my attention and I lose interest, I won't sugercoat it.

Kinda feel the same way, Im most interested in pvp yet I have to play through a slow, single like player feel game with back 2 back quests and not much monsters, and when I do find monsters they aren't much fun to fight for various reasons. Wish they'd just let you go to 10 for free to try out the pvp cuz i don't feel like its worth putting in the time to get there. Altho the combat is kinda flawed so i don't see how pvp would be very fun.
