Not only that but seeing loot/gear/items in the world that were only obtained through real-life money is just a downer in general.


You want to see that shiny new server first because the guy accomplished something, not because he has a wallet.


The subscription model makes everything seem much more even-tabled and seems to attract a "higher quality" player base.

if you actually read another post i made earlier, I did say that if it came down to it, I easily could. It's just the concept that I am trying to get across here. If I dont have time to play that much, and I know for a fact alot of people that enjoy playing skyrim have busy lives too, why would i pay for a service I barely use? Wouldn't you consider it a waste if you had a 100MBs DL speed, but all you do is go on youtube and stream movies off netflix and youre not even getting a fraction of that value back like many other people may be getting? Of course there will be times when I have alot of time available like winter break, but that does not justify buying the game/sub fee. Like many have said, if they offered DLC's or expansions which cost 30$ but gave you the opportunity to play WHENEVER YOU WANT and FOREVER, I would gladly play this game and purchase it without hesitation. I wouldn't feel like I'm obligated to play the game, and would play it more during some slow months and less during busy months.

Even if you only play 3 hours a month that still comes out to $5/hour for entertainment.

Pretty much the cheapest quality entertainment that you'll get.

$15 is the price of three damn coffees. I could understand your argument if it was $60 a month, but, anyone who even plays once a week is getting more than adequate value for their money spent.

i don't mind paying 15 or even 20. if they create a good game that deserves it, then i'll shell out the money. in fact i prefer it. that way the game gets constant attention from the devs.

So this game is coming out for the XB1 and PS4, does that mean that PC players will share the same servers as console players?

Starting out as Aldmeri High Elf right now, most likely playing other allainces/races to get a feel for the game.

I got to the character selection screen.

Only 4 classes as of right now, seems kinda low. Character creation is very in depth.. get DC'ed when I try and log in after that.

Installer fkd me hard. It preloads the 20gb file on your computer on the first download then it installs it and ends up taking 40gb before it removes the initial 20gb, I only had like 35gb free'd up so it got like 60% done, said insufficient space, then it deleted all the preloaded files and now I have to redownload the entire thing because it doesn't care I have like 50% of the installed files... now I won't be able to play till like 8pm instead of 5pm launch...fking gay

Always make me angry that MMO companies are never ready for the server load, when they know how popular it's gonna be. How can I test if I can't even log in?
