VMWare is offering 50% off their new VMWare Certified Associate exams through Jan 31st, 2014. My company has a code that makes it free and I'm sure codes won't be hard to come by on the webs. Even without the promotion code, the exam is only $60.
The cert has three tracks. Cloud, Datacenter, and end user computing. VMWare also has free training for those certs too.
The exam is stupid easy and you don't even need a proctor. You can take it online at home on the PVue website. You'd be stupid not to do it.
Now, is this cert going to be a resume cornerstone? No. This isn't something that will "nail" you that CEO10k/day IT job either.
However, for guys like me already in the field, this will be something to include on my yearly eval for "self-education". It's a check in the box. It should also satisfy CompTia CE requirements for those who fall under DoD 8570 regulations.
Cheers

Should I just jump to VMware Certified Professional - Cloud and then do VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Cloud Infrastructure Design instead of the Associates Certificate? Only because the associates cert is $60 and it's new, so it wasn't required before... so if I do spend money on this I'd rather get certificate on a more advanced knowledge. Do you have any idea on how much the Professional and Adv Professional certificates cost?

Oh yeah! I did my exam tonight and i got it first try!
The question aren't that hard if you worked with vmware but some are tricky if you didn't use some vmware features (SRM, VcOps, Replication, FT)
I got a free code on the vmware forum:
https://communities.vmware.com/commu...tification/vca
I used: VCA13ICS but if it's not working a lot of people are posting other code!English is not my native language

VMware's desktop software runs on Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, while its enterprise software hypervisors to VMware ESX and VMware ESXi servers are bare-metal hypervisors that run directly on server hardware without an additional underlying operating system. and you can get latest dumps PDF visit certificationkey.com

I did my
I did my VCP this way and you do get a voucher. In all honesty though don't expect the course to do much to help you pass the exam it is very basic. Ticks the requirement for the course though and only 185 bucks.

I used exam*********s.com exam practice software to help prepare myself to take the certification exam. I had tried other sources for test prep, but found them to be far superior. I passed the exam with no problems, because I went into the exam as prepared as anyone could be.
