Going to be more than 3 but..
Sonic the hedgehog - Sage Mega drive. The first game I ever played. Used to sit and play it all day when my elder brother was at school - I was about 2 years old.
Super Mario Bros - SNES.
My and my brother used to sit up all night together playing this co-operatively. Will remember those great nights trying not to wake up the parents for the rest of my life.
Goldeneye - Nintendo 64.
Same as the previous one. My first taste of a FPS and I loved every second of that game - played it recently actually, couldn't believe we used to use those N64 pads!
Runescape - MMORPG.
In retrospect, I hate this game. Literally an addiction for me through my teens. Played it from early on though before all the **** updates they ended up doing - I'm taking classic period. Had 3 Green Party hats that I bought for 10k each.. If only. Tried to teach my brother how to play - but not really his scene.
Star Wars KOTOR - Xbox.
Absolutely loved this RPG. First game I played where you could choose the lineage of the gameplay - free roam between planets and upgrade you character and equipment - it was great. Me and Jake played on two seperate TV's in the same room. Loved that game.
Call of Duty Black Ops - Xbox 360.
I enjoyed this. The last game me and Jake played together before he passed away. Always thought he was better than me even though I had to teach him how to quick scope - of course he never was, but he was one lucky SOB on cod.

Sonic on the sega mega drive, my lawd just a classic game won't ever be a sonic like it.
Super Mario on the Super Nintendo was another classic everyone loved that game not to mention donkey kong.
Manhunt on the ps 2. This had the most impact on me, the violence the finish moves. My heart would b pounding when playing this game. Adrenaline rush

What the hell is with all the nostalgic video game threads this weekend? This is like the third one. Fuk, I'm considering calling in to work tomorrow so I can dust off the old systems and go HAM
1- Legend of Zelda (original- 1987)
NES was still new and was already mind blowing compared to old Atari games. Zelda took it to the next level. That open world concept blew my 7yo mind. And there was no internet to find help for any puzzles- just trial and error. So many hours playing this. Dem feels...
2- Mario Kart (super nes)
This just took multiplayer action to the next level. Rage levels also hit new highs
My cousin and I would skip afternoon classes our entire senior year and play this
3- goldeneye (n64)
My high school GF bought this for my birthday right befor I left for college. Awesome game since I was a huge bond fan, but that 4 player action was just unreal. Everyone on my floor of the dorm would be up until 2am or later every single night playing this sh!t.
Honorable mentions:
Bionic commando (NES- 87 or 88). One of my favorite games so I have to mention it
Different than your basic platform game. So challenging but I managed to get to the point where I could smoke it no problem. I still put this game into the old nes once in awhile and go through it.PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

planescape: torment : one of the best entertainment experiences of my life... actual game play left a bit to be desired but everything else just blew me away.... characters storyline music atmosphere just everything....
warcraft III : been playing this game since I was 12 years old and still play it to this day at 24. my competitive outlet... this game doesnt control as much of my life as it used to but every game gives me an incredible high (srs). will play until either I die or the servers die....
WoW Vanilla/TBC : its more of an honorary mention but idk insane nostalgia. much love for this stuff.

#3 - Doom (1995)
#2 - Duke Nukem 3D (1996)
#1 - Quake (1996)
lol @ all the youngsters here with N64 games etc.
When Doom came out it was one of the first games where you can run around shooting monsters. I think there#s a Wolfenstein that pre-dates Doom but from what I have seen of that it isn't 3D like Doom is, IDGAF if they call it the first one, it isn't, it looks like that Windows 95 "Hover" game.
All stand for the Windows 95 anthem...
